Best Street and Track Helmet I've owned
I have the EU version of this helmet and by far it has been the best helmet I've ever owned. The interior hugs your head and face but doesn't squeeze your cheeks into your eyes. The pin lock system is easy to use and the anti fog lens works perfectly. With all the vents open I still have less wind/road noise than my Shoei Rf-1100. The aerodynamics on this helmet are top notch. At speeds of 120mph there is little to no head kick without being behind a windscreen. Incredibly light helmet and a great range of vision. I have a 23 inch head or 7 1/4 hat size and the ML size is perfect. The ear pockets are deep enough for good sized speakers if you're putting in Bluetooth. The internal visor is a little light and doesn't do much for sun glare but none I've come across yet do. This helmet has made me life long fan of AGV.

Upgrade
I came from a scorpion Exo 500 and it was a standard helmet. This helmet was above those standards and I felt like there is a lot of quality parts put into this helmet. I've had it for a month now. I've ridden over 1500 miles in it and it is still the same quality and feel ever since I've pulled it out the of box

Comfortable, stylish, and functional
Good fit and true to size; used my hat size to pick the right size. Very comfortable and does not strain neck at speed. Integrated flip down visor is very convenient allowing longer rides from day to night without having to carry an extra visor. Speaker pockets work well with Sena 10s.

Good Preformer
I was looking to replace my HJC CL 17 with a lighter helmet at a reasonable price. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. It's definitely lighter than my HJC and seems to have less buffeting at speeds above 60 mph. It's reasonable quiet both with the visor up or down. I felt I was on the line between a small and medium small in sizing. Opted for the Small. Fit snug out of the box but not tight. Zero hotspots when riding. I wear Oakley Metal Plate glasses and I find that with the AGV K5 they are much harder to get on than with my old helmet.

Good fit, but...
I really wanted to give this helmet an outstanding review because I seem to have finally found an internal shape that works for me (thanks to two separate Gear Geeks who, in two separate conversations, asked me if I'd considered AGV when I called describing my head shape and asked about the fit of other brands...). And the helmet is lighter than any I'd owned before, with a better field of vision, as well. All positive.

On the downside, the airflow was not quite what I wanted but I can live with it (I just don't ride as far/long when really hot). However, I was sorely disappointed when I tried to install a Sena intercom system while on a 4000 mile trip with a couple of friends. I could NEVER get the cheek pads to fit correctly once removed -- and all three of us tried, multiple times. It was so bad that almost every time I pulled the helmet off the cheek pads came about half-way out. Eventually, I was able to get one side securely reattached, but not the other. And even the one side that I did reattach occasionally come loose -- it's like the plastic snaps, once unsnapped, lose some of their effectiveness? This just should NOT happen.

I don't know if I got a sub-optimal helmet or if this is an AGV problem generally, but a HUGE disappointment for a product that I would otherwise be completely pleased with.

Awesome helmet
After trying on several helmets at the international motorcycle show this was the most comfortable helmet I have felt. I was wearing a shoei RF1200 but it squeezed very tight on my case. The K5 is light and flows a tone of air. It does get a little noises from the air flow but I always keep all vents open. When turning your head a speed you will feel the wind catch the helmet which does not happen on my shoei.

Great value -- good weight and great features for the money.
Got this last week to replace my old AGV S-4, which was creeping up to the 9 year mark. My choices came down to this and the Shoei Qwest --- felt the K5 was a bit more helmet for the money, plus it is a lot less common (seems I see tons of riders with the Qwest). So far, am very pleased. The fit is great, very consistent with my old S-4. Airflow is excellent, and it is quieter than my old helmet, which wasn’t bad (I wear ear plugs, but even so the difference is noticeable). As other reviews have indicated, the top air vents are cool looking but seemingly impossible to operate with a gloved hand. Does not matter to me as I tend to open and close vents only when there is a big change in seasons. My one big quibble has to do with wearing eyeglasses – despite the fact that the helmet has a clearly marked “channel” for eyeglasses, it is difficult to get my eyeglasses on and centered on my face correctly…I have to sort of angle the helmet downward to get them on properly…and even then it is a bit awkward and difficult. Am still sort of working out the best way to do this. Hopefully, as I wear the helmet more I’ll get this “technique” down a little better, we’ll see.

Love this helmet!
I got this helmet to replace my HTC C-17. The K5 is a huge upgrade in comfort and lightness. My only gripe about the K5 is that trying to find a pin lock system for it proved difficult.

Really nice helmet
I like this helmet more than my previous RPHA 10. The shape is really cool. The airflow is excellent, actually made my head quite cold on a 73 degree day. I wish the internal visor mechanism was a bit easy to feel with a gloved hand but I am getting use to it. The padding is also a little different than I've experienced but I like that both sides and the neck roll are all one piece. I cannot comment on the durability yet.

Best helm at the price range with some solid reviews, here and elsewhere, that also included that inner visor for sun protection. The styling is pretty intense as well.

I have purchased one of these and pulled one side of the padding out to install my Packtalk headset device and I cannot get the padding to clip back in near the chin area of the helmet. I noticed the helmet you reviewed in your video wasn't clipped back in properly either side as well. Is this an actual problem with this helmet or am I not clipping in back in properly?

Will there be a pinlock shield available?
John S on Oct 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: There is one listed by AGV for the K3SV/K5.
How do I remove the internal sunvisor?
A shopper on May 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Put the internal visor in the down position, then press in slightly towards the middle on the little red tabs. The visor has little tabs that lock into place and should release with a little persuasion.
What do you do for anti fog? Does it have pin lock? Can you get one for it if not?
shayne s on Apr 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The clear visor that comes on it is anti-fog treated on the inside (seems to be a similar coating to what was on the pinlock insert of my old Shoei). It is not a pin lock visor, but there is a pinlock version available according to AGV.
Where is this helmet made?
A C on Dec 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The label says, "Made in China under AGV specifications."
What Bluetooth systems works with this helmet?
A shopper on Feb 16, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I personally wear a Sena 10C without any issues, really anything by Sena should work fine. As of yet there is no dedicated hardware for the K5, but the Sena headsets work so well there would really be no point. There is a reason they are the gold standard.
I usually ride Suomy LARGE, wondering how this helmet compares fit-wise? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: This K5 Helmet fits snug. Once it is on it is a pleasure. Great visibility.
comparing this to the agv horizon ? wich is the newest/better ?
Leandro C on Aug 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have an AVG K5 and can tell you that I absolutely love this helmet. Very comfortable, great ventilation, and easy neck rotation for shoulder checks..... It also looks great.
I'm looking into purchasing a new AGV helmet. I ride a '12 R6. I'm looking for the best combo option for next season to do mostly everyday street riding with some track days. Which would be recommended between the K5 and Corsa?
Jay B on Oct 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I cannot speak for the Corsa, but I just received my K5 yesterday and I really enjoy it. It's light, comfortable, relatively quiet, and it does great cutting against the wind on the highway. My only complaint might be that it comes up a bit higher than my last helmet in the back, so I can feel the seasonally chilly air a bit more than I used to. That said, I would definitely suggest the K5 as a solid contender.
What's the difference between the K3 and the K5?!
