AGV K-3 SV Helmet

The AGV K3 SV Helmet builds on AGV's extensive experience in designing the Pista GP and Corsa helmets as well as the legacy of the original K3 helmet. An aerodynamic shell shape is optimized for stability and aggressive aesthetics and features an integrated, compact rear spoiler to reduce turbulence. The narrow chin bar is streamlined to help the helmet cut through the wind at high speeds, further increasing stability.

The AGV K3 SV helmet incorporates a drop-down sun visor, making the helmet a tour de force, aggressive street or touring helmet. The K3 is also communication-ready and features speaker pocket cut outs to minimize discomfort caused by Bluetooth speakers pressing into your ears. The AGV K-3 SV Helmet is an excellent choice for any rider who values sophisticated, modern design in a safe and feature-rich package.

Great look, open air flow, nice features, good everyday.
This is my second helmet after being bike only for 3 years now. My first helmet was $50 more then this one. In comparison they fit rather differently. This one is easy to take on and off, my first felt squished taking on and off. Even though this one goes on and off easier it feels snugger on my face in cheeks but in a comfortable way. There is cut out where your ears go and that provides a lot of comfort as i often ride with headphones. There is also wind that goes between my ears which is a plus since i live in Florida and it is always hot. The front has a tab that vents the sheild slightly which provides more airflow but also works great as a defogger. Chemical coats wear off eventually so its nice there is a second system to defogg. I wish it had Pin Lock but this is a nice touch. It bobbles very little at high speeds but with all the airflow it is louder but i expect that and do not mind. The internal sun visors are decent. I have seen complaints about them not being dark enough but if you get the iridium ones it works fine. Wont block all the sun but what will. They have nice coverage and easy to access. The look is sharp and has nice cuts to helpit with comfort as well around the neck. The inner linning stays dry and is very soft. Over all i am thrilled with this helmet. I ride everyday rain or shine, light or dark. It is very versitile for my bike only needs.

AMAZING HELMET
This is my fourth helmet, the other three I either grew out of, or didn't like the way they fit. I wear a size small helmet, and this fits absolutely PERFECT. I cannot give enough thanks to AGV for coming out with this helmet, I'm a female rider so it was important to me to find a helmet that was lightweight, and not obviously feminine (aka the silly butterflies and flowers on ALLLLL of the women's helmets in any brand)... The hawksbill makes the side view of the helmet gorgeous. The acoustics within the helmet (the wind noise/ ability to hear out of a Bluetooth) are phenomenal. I tested the helmet at high speeds, and my head doesn't blow all over the place like my previous helmet. The drop-down visor could be a bit darker, but that's it.

Premium helmet without the premium price tag--A great mid-level helmet
My last helmet was a bargain bin Fulmer (which I actually loved), but I took a lil spill and needed a new one. Since I recently upgraded from a CBR250 to a 600RR, I felt I needed to upgrade to a more premium lid and this helmet fits the bill perfectly.

When I measured my head, I was 22 inches, which according to the size chart was a medium-large, but when I tried it on, it felt too loose, so I swapped it for a medium small and it fits me super snug (in fact, I'm actually embarrassed at how loose my old helmet must have been!#. It takes me a little finagling to get my glasses in, but they don't press into my head or bow like they do in some helmets. Plus, I think that's mostly because I have very thin frames with a lot of bend to them.

The helmet is very light, feels very solid, and I really like the "hawks bill" style. Coming from a sub $100 helmet to this one, I really like the extra features that make it feel more premium, such as the chin curtain #which really helps keep the air in/out), the "city"/cracked visor position, the quick change mech for swapping lenses, and the removable liner. Every helmet I saw all these features on was $300+! I also like that it is pre-cut for adding a com system, as that's something I plan to do eventually.

The lens is very clear and good with not fogging; however, THE INTERNAL VISOR FOGS UP A LOT AND IF YOU HAVE GLASSES THEY WILL FOG UP EASILY IF THE MAIN SHIELD IS ALL THE WAY DOWN! The saving grace is the city position for the front visor, which allowed me to manage the condensation on the sun visor and my glasses, although this was not really possible at low speeds.

Best helmet under $500
Went from a Shoei Qwest to this helmet. The Qwest has more visor positions, and that's about it. This helmet flows better, it's more aerodynamic, it's quieter, and it's nearly half the cost. My biggest question buying this helmet was whether I'd be satisfied with the drop down sun visor instead of a smoked shield. I found the drop down visor didn't come low enough for upright riding without being annoying so I got a smoked shield which I prefer the looks of anyway.

I liked this helmet so much I bought another for a friend!

Great helmet, Great Value
I purchased this helmet partly because it looks great and second, the airflow configurations. The airflow is great, here in FL it gets very hot mid-day and this helmet keeps my head dry, and cool which is a godsend with 90F++ temps with high humidity. The anti-fog visor works great, i have not had any problems with the visor fogging up(Drove through a few heavy T-storms, and afternoon showers). A con is while it is wet outside the mouth vent does shoot rain into your face.
Also while the visor does not fog up, the seal around the visor does lets a bit of water in.
This helmet is very loud, no way around it. Wear your ear plug, I have had issues with the helmet whistling, but it does go away eventually, not really that annoying in my opinion.
Sizing, I usually wear a medium, but the Med-L fits me perfectly, it is nice and comfy.

First Helmet, Impressed!
I just recently started riding about 2 months ago, and knew only as much about helmets as I cared to watch on Revzilla (which was a fair amount, honestly) So I tried this thing on and it fit LIKE A GLOVE. Seriously, I went for a trip 2 weeks after purchasing and 4 hours into the trip and no where on my head was it sore. Amazing! The airflow is pretty great as well, considering I have longish thick hair and could feel movement on top of my head. The "City Cruising" setting to keep the visor slightly open isn't the easiest to operate with gloves on, but its definitely doable. The top airflow controls on the sides are pretty much impossible to operate while riding, so make sure you have em where you want em, the mouth and center-top are easy to adjust though. Not the quietest helmet, but I have yet to ride on the highway with the vents closed yet. The internal sun visor is a nice option, only the one it came with wasn't that dark at all, I wish it was a couple shades darker to really block the sun, it just takes the edge off really.

The only complaint I have isn't about the helmet itself, it's about the cost of replacement visors, they are 50-70 bucks! But this helmet does have the option of getting pinlock visor inserts (even though the visor it comes with isn't pinlock compatible).

All in all, love this helmet, just wish the visors weren't so pricey.

Sporty with ++ Weight and Vision
Ownership:
6 months.

Relative Specification:
My Int. Oval Circumference is 22.5 in or 57.15 cm, and MS (medium-small) size at 57 cm fits me perfectly.

The two biggest ups for the AGV K3 SV are its feather weight and wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide field of vision. I wear this as a commuter and it feels as light at sunup as it does at sundown. The pads and lining are magic. It's one of the most comfortable helmets I've worn. It wicks sweat easy in 90 degree heat.

The only drawback is when you're riding urban stop-and-go traffic. The vents are excellent at speed, quiet and cooling, with three crown vents that you can toggle, but there's little flow when you're positioned almost upright because of the tiny mouth vent. The visor and shade will fog up as a consequence, but will also clear quickly.

I recommend the AGV K3 SV to safety conscious beginners riding sporties. It's a great value for commuters. There are lots of options for visor colors and styles to keep it interesting.

Great helmet, especially for the price.
First off, let me start by saying how surprisingly quiet this helmet is. I ride an FZ-07 so wind is always a big issue, but even with all the vents open, I can comfortably ride at highway speeds with no earplugs. On one occasion I got up in the 100mph range (no comment on whether or not this was on the street...) and even then, the wind noise was manageable, but certainly loud.
Others have mentioned that the diagonal vents aren't usable with gloves, but I beg to differ. As long as you pull them at the right angle, you can get them to open/close while riding, though it can be a bit tricky.
The only complaint I have with this helmet is the weight. But that doesn't really surprise me, considering how much cheaper it is than, say, a Corsa or a Pista. I've certainly worn heavier.
All in all, this is a great mid-range helmet. If you're looking for something better than the really cheap stuff, but you don't want to fork over the cash for a premium helmet, I would wholeheartedly recommend the K3 SV.

Awesome Day and Freeway Helmet
This is my 1rst AGV helmet and I love it. I have been commuting with it all day and it felt really nice. I have a fairly small head so I got an XS but its still wasn't as tight fit as my Scorpion x710, but manageable. The greatest part was on the freeway, the helmet stayed on, no movement and the hawks-chin really made a difference at high speed compared to a regular helmet.
Even at high speeds, the helmet stayed quite. The air vent placement is really good, especially on the chin, the air gets in but its not blowing on my lips getting them chapped as my other helmet does.
The only thing I don't like is the visor. Every time I close it, it makes a very loud noise that hurts my ears. During night time there are too many reflections light bouncing of my eyes through it that it makes it harder to ride and stay focused on the road.
Overall its a great helmet to be used during day time and high speed riding but its gonna take either a replacement visor or simply getting used to it to be able to ride at night.
