In addition to a headlight, the Vision Handguards provide additional visibility both at night and during the day with a combined luminous efficiency off 300 lumens. The handguards mount to both ends of the bar and have an on/off switch, which can also be mounted on the handlebars. The Vision is built around an aluminum bar for added durability and deflection from debris and the elements. It is a great addition to any off-road bike, ATV, or dual road. Amazing looks. Not built for dual sport or offroad use.
These handguards look amazing and give nice auxiliary lighting. But they are quite delicate. Both lights had one wire detach from the back, both were repaired and have not failed since. Now one of the LED arrays has lost one of the LEDs, it is completely detached from the board and is shaking around inside the lens housing. This is after I repaired a broken solder joint on the array. I love the look and light temperature, the airflow, and brush deflection. But they are too delicate for hard dual sport and supermoto usage.

A great 2 in 1
I was originally looking for some aux leds to add to my bike when I saw this. I am not too crazy about handguards but since I own a scrambler I decided to give it a go.. Excellent product! The LEDS are extremely bright and make a huge difference driving at night and from a visibility perspective. they also look quite good.

2015 KLR650
Same as the first review, I was looking for some AUX lights for my bike. Mainly because the 2015 KLR650 head lamp does not move with the forks, but is fixed to the frame. This product was far less expensive than other products and the installation was extremely easy. This comes with an 'in-the-handlebar' clamping system that consists of a screw that threads into a cone shaped nut that spreads the shaft and anchors the unit to the inside of a 7/8" handle bar. The 2015 KLR650 does come stock with 7/8" handle bars, however, there is a threaded cap on the end of the bar. Luck for me the screw that comes with the Acerbis Vision Handguards is the exact thread to fit into my handle bar end cap. That means that I didn't have to modify my bike to make this work!! Overall the lights are bright, they turn with my forks, and they fit perfectly on my stock handle bars. The only thing, I think, that would make this product better is if the metal bar that attaches to the bike wrapped around and clamped onto both sides of the hand grip (the only connection point is the screw on the end of the handle bar. The interior side of the hand guard is free floating).

Fantastic product from Acerbis
Great handguards with sweet looking lights. Relatively simple install. Phenomenal wind protection.

The one bad to these is that they aren't connected back to the handlebars. This causes a slight loss in durability if it tips over, *however* it means that these will bend and absorb the impact before your handlebars will (like mine did last week)

Also beware-- depending on your bike, you may have troubles getting your handlebars to go full lock to lock. Mine were touching my windscreen so I had to adjust the handlebars and the windscreen to make it work. You could also buy sweeping handlebar risers. Be mindful of this, and make adjustments as needed.

Easy install on a KLR
I love these on my Kawasaki KLR 650 stock bars. They are currently the only ones on the market and for that they get more stars than I probably would give otherwise. I held off replacing my damaged stock guards for 2 years because I was waiting for someone to make these. As you can see in the attached photos, I'm all about being seen.

Pros:
* Installation is easy and the supplied bolts go straight into the threads for the stock bar end weights.
* They perfectly accept the "Barkbusters Teardrop Bar End Weights" (The stock weights wouldn't go well)

Cons:
* Only a single mounting point is convenient for installation but provides much less protection than most Barkbuster guards.
* Lights can only be adjusted horizontally. Vertical adjustment is done by pivoting the bar mounting point.

Great Idea, Poor Design
This is a great idea especially if there is nothing out there to mount aux lights on your bike, but they could have done so much better with the construction. You have to use very small coarse screws to secure the plastic guard to the bar/bark buster. Be very careful as an inexperienced DIYer can strip the holes tightening too much.

It would have been very easy for Acerbis to just come all the way around and add two mounting points instead of this one sided floating type design for the bar/bark buster.

Also, after reading the last review on here, I'm concerned with the LEDs breaking internally as it appears that this can happen if you are a true off roader.

They are very easy to install if you are a handyperson. I don't see why you would use the switch included since you would want these on along with your headlights. I skipped the switch and just wired them with my headlight to turn on and off with the bike.

I would gladly pay more for a sturdier design as I feel that they look great and do a good job.

Don't expect a lot of protection from drops
These handguards are good if you think of them as a guard against the elements and extra auxilary lights only. They look great and come with a switch for on and off. The lights can also pivot left and right if you move them by hand. Your bike will become a lot more noticeable to other drivers from the front which is great.

If you expect to drop your bike at all(off road use) then I do not suggest getting them. They will bend pretty easily and possibly break on the first spill. It took me about 5 drops to finally break them and my clutch lever bent a couple times already too. Get dual point mounted handguards if you ride off-road.

Are these offered in the full metal backbone with 2 connection points?
A shopper on Jul 9, 2015
BEST ANSWER: NO. There is only one connection point on the end of the handle bar. See my review with photos.
Sold individually or as a pair?
Alex L on Aug 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Sold as a pair.
How difficult would it be to modify these and mount them to a different metal bar (like a barkbuster bar that has two connection points)? Also, how durable is the plastic and lens covering the LEDs?
Alex L on Feb 2, 2016
Will this product fit a 2015 KLR 650 without modification? If modification is necessary, what needs to be done?
A shopper on Aug 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes! The supplied bolts work with the exiting threading in the stock bars. Installation couldn't be easier. The Barkbusters Teardrop Bar End Weights also fit over these like they were made to do so. The backbone dimensions are perfect.
Will this fit my 2013 Kawasaki Verys 650 or will I need to do a modification? My bike has bar
weights.
Dustin P on Oct 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: If you have 7/8" handlebars, these will work. You take your bar end weights out and these handguards go in the end of the bars like bar weights.
Can they be made to use as turn signals?
A shopper on Jan 17, 2016
BEST ANSWER: They could be made to use as turn signals but you would lose the constant running light. To make them turn signals, you would just need to run the hot wire on each side to the turn signal hot on each respective side. As these are single element lights, you would lose the ability for them to run as constant lights if you wired them as turn signals.
it's compatible honda cb 500X?
Gary Gil M on Aug 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These will not be compatible without some serious modification to the stock set-up. The CB500X, just like my CTX700ND, has a weight that is attached to the end of the bars. There are also multiple pieces inside the bar that make installation very difficult. If you look up your bar diagram you'll see what I mean. That's the long answer. The short answer is: no.
Will this fit the Yamaha Fz-07?
A shopper on Sep 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Pretty sure it will. I installed on an 08 Duke and the only modification I did was to add a couple of washers between the bar end and the guard to allow clearance for the brake & clutch. It was a very easy install.
Additionally, they are super bright and have already saved me a close call in a traffic situation.
Will it fit a 2012 BMW F800GS?
A shopper on Jun 8, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This fit perfectly on my 2015 KLR650. I am not familiar with what Kawa did on the Versys, but I would guess it is very similar to the KLR650. I wrote a review for this product, with pictures! Check out the photos, it may help you...
Will this fit a 2017 Yamaha FZ-09? I know the 2014-2016 FZ-09 handguards can mostly be adapted to the 2017 model.
A shopper on Apr 10, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I'm not a Yamaha expert, but I can definitely state tha they do not fit a BMW F800ST. So if the FZ-09 is at all similar, I wouldn't buy them.
