- Favorite Question: “Do you really ride?”
Riding a motorcycle is part of who I am, not just something that I do.
I distinctly remember a family trip travelling south when I was about 10 years old and seeing a group of bikers riding in a tight formation along I-95. It seems like yesterday, but it was almost 38 years ago! The look, style and sound of those Harley-Davidson motorcycles is still etched into my mind.
I average about 20,000 miles per year. Most of my touring is done with my wife of 25 years on the back of the bike. Together, we have seen most of the United States and a large part of Canada
I started riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the 80’s and haven’t looked back. The Electra-Glide and the current model touring bikes are my favorites. I like the way these bikes ride and handle. I average about 20,000 miles per year and these bikes fit my riding style perfectly, or, on second thought, has my riding style been tailored by the type of motorcycle I am riding? My real passion is long distance touring, I love doing 750 to 1000 miles in a day. Seeing the people and places in our great country is what I really enjoy. Most of my touring is done with my wife of 25 years on the back of the bike. Together, we have seen most of the United States and a large part of Canada from the seat of an Electra-Glide!
Going to places like the Wheels Through Time Museum with my riding friends and family is on the agenda each year.
Over the years, I have been to most of the major motorcycle events in the US, including Daytona, Sturgis and Laconia. While those events are monumental, I would actually prefer to just ride and see the mountains and the back country. One of the most memorable trips in the past few years was a ride through New England. It started in Philadelphia and included a stop at Lake Champlain (NY and VT), a ride through most of the Green Mountains in Vermont on two lane roads and covered bridges, a trip down through the White Mountains and the Kancamagus Highway in New Hampshire and ending up in Boston, Massachusetts. The trip covered close to 2000 miles and we saw everything from 200 year old covered bridges in Vermont, to the New Hampshire Seacoast before touring the City of Boston.
I also like antique and vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Throughout the year, I enjoy attending AMCA events and swap meets. Going to places like the Wheels Through Time Museum with my riding friends and family is on the agenda each year.
Outside of riding, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two teenage sons. We all enjoy outdoor activities such as shooting, hunting, fishing and camping. Our family spends a tremendous amount of time together doing these activities as well as supporting the sports teams that both of my sons play for. Additionally, we are involved with the Civil Air Patrol and the Young Marines.
Favorite Part of working at RevZilla?: This Company is the BEST! When you walk in the door each day you are met with the greatest group of people that I have ever worked with. There is such a positive “vibe” in our facility and it is perpetuated by the people who work here. We all love to ride motorcycles and have found an environment that we can share our passion with each other and our customers.
