A very wise woman once said, “Everything is awesome.”
And so it was.
Okay, that quote came directly from yours truly, but that doesn’t mean it’s not an excellent statement. What are you going to do when you realize your life isn’t the epic adventure you thought it would be?
I don’t know about you, but I am going to buy a motorcycle and then learn how to ride it. I am going to go back to school and get a second Bachelor’s Degree, because the first one alone isn’t working. I am going to put value on doing things on my own because I can truly be myself. I am going to move every year until I find a place I love. I am going to take my chances with the man who makes me happy, even though the path is going to be difficult. I am going to spend more time with my Mom because there is no one who cares about my happiness more. I am going to walk everywhere with a skip in my step hoping others will follow suit. I am going to listen to loud music I never would have before and sing even more loudly to it. I am going to work three jobs at a time until I find the one that I walk into with a smile on my face. I am going enter every room with the attitude that I am going to own it.
Life does not give opportunities to those who do not open themselves to the possibility of “other.” If you know your life can be more awesome than it is, then make it so.
Everything is awesome.
