Yoshimura TRC Race Exhaust System Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R

Made famous by 7-time AMA Superbike Champion, Mat Mladin. The TRC is a race proven exhaust that falls second to none. Features include a Tri-Oval design and a trick cone-shaped end cap, with an easily removable low-volume insert.

Yoshimura’s Full System exhaust kits weighs considerably less than the dual factory configuration by utilizing a 4 into 1 header design with a single muffler mounted on the right side, minimizing unwanted weight for the performance oriented rider. The Full System maximizes usable power and torque throughout the entire RPM band, providing optimal gains and performance.

A shopper asked: I have a few questions specific to the 2013 Kawasaki ZX-14R with this exhaust system:

1) How much weight does it save compared to the stock exhaust?
2) How loud is it compared to stock (stock dB vs. Yosh TRC with insert dB)?
3) Do I need a PCV and custom tune?

Ian W: My TRC is still sitting in the box. Doing a track bike conversion on my GXR 600.

Based on holding the stock header and catalyst front pipe section I would say the full Yosh system is a significant improvement on weight over stock. I bought my GXR used and it already had a Yosh tail pipe.

Havign not fitted it I am not able to really confirm the noise increase but do expect it to increase.

My GXR already has a power commander and looking at the program disk, when I fit the TRC system I will need to update the may on the PC. I would recommend that if you stick with the OE FI module you have a dealer adjust for fuel mixture. The pipe will most likely lean out the mixture.

Eric O: 1: I can't put in numbers how much do you save, but with the yoshimura exhaust it feels lighter than the stock. 2: yoshimura is definitely louder ,, it sounds better than the stock, people can hear you now....... And I think it comes with a silencer too. 3: no , I don't think you need that. May 14, 2014
