Yoshimura RS-5 Street Slip-On Exhaust CBR600RR

The RS-5 Slip-On Exhaust is one of Yoshimura’s most popular pipes, and for good reason. Its trapezoidal shape appeals to the eye and really captures the spirit of racing. It also complements the look of any sportbike, following the race-inspired lines of today’s under-tail muffler configurations. The RS-5 features a straight baffle with a removable low-volume insert, and an unique cone-end cap.

Slip-On includes RS-5 muffler, stainless steel tail-pipe, all installation hardware, and detail step-by-step instructions.

Note: This exhaust is CARB compliant. Please check local laws before purchasing. Some modifications may be prohibited in some states.

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Jacob S: The reviews were good and the price was great Aug 17, 2014
H A: The Yoshi exhaust sounds excellent, easy to install and relatively cheap. I like it the best out of every exhaust I have owned. Jan 14, 2014
Andre S: Great reviews. Aug 26, 2013
A S asked: Does the material that the exhaust is made of effect the sound of it or is it only a cosmetic difference? Also does it come with a fender eliminator? Jul 22, 2014

Andres P: My exhaust is made from stainless steel, baffle material and the end cap is carbon fiber. I don't have any frame for comparison unfortunately. I went from stock to the Yoshi. I will offer my opinion though. Carbon fiber apparently fades and isn't as durable. Both titanium and carbon fiber apparently crack very easily as well. This is all information I found online on forums etc. Stainless is the most durable, budget friendly and sounds terrific. If you look at the instructions for the Yoshi pipe they offer cleaning instructions. IIRC the stainless is also the easiest to maintain. Jul 22, 2014

Andy G: The Material does not make a difference in sound. I have the all Carbon and my riding buddy has the Stainless model.... they sound the same on our CBR1000's. Carbon is a little lighter and does not get as hot. No it does NOT come with a fender eliminator. Exhaust installs easy and looks great. Jul 26, 2014

Alan P: The Bike sounds good, isn't too loud if that's what you're looking for. It does give it that more aggressive sound. I think it's just all appearance wise. I am pleased with the way it sounds.

For the fender eliminator it doesn't come with it. I got mine off TST Industries.

A shopper asked: Do all of the slip-ons come with a carbon fiber end cap, or is that just on the full carbon fiber version? Jul 19, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Christopher K: I bought mine in June 4th. The titanium version. Mine gas a carbon fiber cap. I believe they all come with it. I purchased titanium because it will not rust. All carbon fiber is sweet but known to bubble on rare occasions. Hope this helps
