Yoshimura RS-3 Street Slip-On Exhaust Bandit GSX1250F / GSF1250S

The RS-3 Slip-On Exhaust is Yoshimura's take on a classic exhaust style with modern performance. It features a straight high-flow baffle, large volumes of packing materials, oval-shaped sleeve and a subtle down-turn endcap outlet. The exhaust sound produced by the RS3 exhaust is aggressive without being overly loud. The RS3 Exhaust continues to be one of the most popular exhaust styles on the market and has inspired countless similar recreations in the motorcycle exhaust market.

Features:

  • Oval-shaped sleeve
  • Large volume of packing material
  • Straight baffle for ample flow
  • Single turn-down machined aluminum end-cap
  • Riveted on Yoshimura emblem
  • Stainless steel mid-pipe (applicable models)
  • Made in the USA

Great exhaust - one potential progblem.
As always, this Yoshimura is well made, easy to install, and provides the look and sound that reduces weight and improves owner satisfaction.

My only complaint has to do with the heat shield that bolts to the exhaust pipe in front of the muffler. It fits just fine except that it is about three inches too short. When installed (you can't put it in the wrong way), it leaves about three inches of hot exhaust pipe exposed. I promptly burned a substantial hole in the ankle of my riding pants. I spoke with Yoshimura and they had nothing to offer, saying that this is the only heat shiled available for this set-up. Be prepared to fabricate something to protect your pants from the hot pipe or risk ruining them.

Awesome Slip-on
The fit and ease of installation was great, looks great too. The quiet insert was provided but not installed in the pipe so I did not have to take it out. The new sound of the exhaust is so cool; just what I was hoping for. I can feel the performance increase, though not a lot from just a slip on. I regret not buying the Full system, but the Slip-on is all Yoshimura says it is. The full system is not easy to find for my model without paying over 1000 $.
