I installed this exhaust on a brand new suzuki hayabusa 2013 limited edition and it fit perfectly Iam sending you a picture before and I will send you a picture tomorrow with the new exhaust installed May 19, 2014
Great combination of looks, sound and performance Install on 2001 FZ1. Great tone. Little sluggish at low rpm. Didn't drill holes in air box as recommended by Yoshi install manual. Forums recommend a rejet over drilling. May 16, 2014
Great! I just purchased this Yoshimura RS-3 Slip-On and installed it the second it arrived. Slip-on arrived very well packaged and came with all the hardware needed to install the pipe. I have a 2005 Suzuki Katana 600 (1400 miles on it) and this exhaust made it COME ALIVE! The bike improved in every way - it warms up faster, AMAZING SOUND, the bike shifts gears better, holds gears longer and better (3rd - 6th), there was an instant bump in horsepower and torque (more torque than HP in my opinion, but they go hand-in-hand). I enjoyed riding the bike before, but I cant stay off of it now......I made the right choice getting the Yoshimura. I can now be heard by other vehicles on the road which is a HUGE PLUS!!! A reasonably priced and performing slip-on for my GSA Before I bought this slip on I had a full Remus Hexacone system on my 2011 R1200GSA. I loved it, but at times it was kind of loud. Especially for those multi-day trips and day long rides. So I went back to stock and sold it last fall. But I always found the stock sound too gut-less. So I found myself looking at pipe again. Not to mention that I wanted to save 10lbs on the back end , since the stock can is noticeably heavy, So, I came across this Yoshi can for a nice price. That coupled with some Zilla Cash....I bought the stainless version of the slip on. The GS is already a big heavy bike, so to save some pounds helps, but i'm not going into ounces or grams to justify the price of the carbon or Ti cans. However, the can is ...err.....very shiny. So either I'm going to put some miles on it quick and go thru some mud to cover it up. Or paint it in a heat resistant paint to bring it back to a less ostentatious color and finish. The install was very easy. Mainly because the GS has probably THE simplest exhaust setup ever. I was done in under 15 minutes. It DOES clear the factory BMW racks and cases on the GS Adventure, if anyone is wondering. Actually it fits in quite nicely. The OEM can stoped about 6 inches short of the back of the bike. So items in the left case would get a little warm. And the left turn signal, racks, license plate...etc...got discolored and smoky looking from the stock exhaust. This Yoshi can stops exactly under the left signal, flush with the back of the bike. So it wont heat up my cases and smoke up the tail of the bike anymore. Which is a big plus. The sound is nice. Perfect in my opinion. Since this slip-on is CARB compliant, its not too loud at all. If anything, it sounds very close to stock, but with a little more volume and a noticeable increase in bass. I haven't tried the dB killer yet, but I would imagine it would take a down a few decibels back closer to stock. I only had one small issue with the slip on. The included heat shield will not work with an aftermarket sidestand foot, like the Touratech I have installed on my bike. After looking at the problem for a minute or two, it's not due to the heat shield, but the angle of the bend on the slip-on's connecting pipe. So I was left with the options; take off the large side stand foot or don't use the heat shield. I park alot on rough or soft surfaces, so I decided to go without the little heat shield and keep the foot. Which is just as well, since it was very chromed out and had another Yoshimura logo stamped into it. It's bad enough that the logo/name is branded on 5 or 6 times, on a two foot long pipe. Great Exhaust I was in the market for a new exhaust and I wanted Carbon Fiber. Came across the Yoshi RS-3 and for the price it was at, I was sold. Once I receiving the exhaust, it was just amazing. Nothing about this exhaust feels cheap in anyway, it was very solid. Installing it was easy and painless, took about 10 mins. It also came with and extra tube that you can mount into the exhaust tip to reduce some dB's for a quitter note. I couldn't tell the different but its there for you. Overall I'm very pleased with the exhaust. It has a nice tone to it when riding and it not to quite or to loud. It's just right for me. March 1, 2014
Great replacement muffler My new-to-me 2007 r6s didn't have a muffler on it and was screaming loud above 4k rpm. I priced out an OEM replacement and wasn't shocked with what I found. I decided to go the slip on route and looked for the cheapest option to quiet her down. The RS3 installed in 30 minutes because I didn't have a factory muffler to remove. I didn't use the rivet and simply clamped the slip on in place. I woke up a hour early, had a cup of coffee, installed the RS3 and rode to work. I wore gloves and used windex to clean the pipe before starting and didn't find any 'burned in' markings like they warn about. Surprisingly, it sounds like a slightly quieter version of the open header bike. It isn't loud to the point that I need to install the silencer tube, but it isn't quite either. It gives a nice quiet burble if you are putting around under the radar but really wakes the neighbors in the upper reaches of the tach. I can't say if it is worth the upgrade from a stock muffler, but if you need a replacement, I am happy with the route I took. If you have any questions, find me on YouTube - PYROned, and I will answer them in a video. Stay safe out there! October 21, 2013
Awesome Slip-on The fit and ease of installation was great, looks great too. The quiet insert was provided but not installed in the pipe so I did not have to take it out. The new sound of the exhaust is so cool; just what I was hoping for. I can feel the performance increase, though not a lot from just a slip on. I regret not buying the Full system, but the Slip-on is all Yoshimura says it is. The full system is not easy to find for my model without paying over 1000 $. April 8, 2013
