Woodcraft Frame Slider Base Yamaha R6

Woodcraft frame sliders stand out in a market crowded with look-alike options. Their patent pending design features a slider puck that can be replaced with one bolt. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. By not having a hollow out the puck it leaves the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a bolt through a distorted puck hole.

Making solid sliders with no offsets is absolutely the best way to protect your bike in a crash - giving the slider maximum strength to resist bending and breaking. Offset sliders can break and sometimes do more damage than they prevent (like breaking frames). Woodcraft will only sell what they race and believe these to be the best frame sliders available.

Note: Woodcraft Frame Slider Pucks are required and are sold separately. Image for reference only. Actual Woodcraft Frame Slider Base may vary depending on your make and model.

measure twice cut once make sure you know 100% what location these are supposed to screw into, because on the instructions, it says that it is usually the forward most engine mount, of course my bike was not the forward most, but the middle mounts. heed my warning or you too will endure abs/fiberglass repair. really easy to change track bodywork On my gsxr 600 Before I had shogun sliders and would have to remove the engine mount bolt with slider every time I took the bodywork off. Now i just have to remove the puck so there's less wear and tear on the engine mount threads. Haven't crashed them yet so hoping they hold up. July 21, 2014
Great product terrible instructions The instructions are way to vague. Pictures that are useful would be nice specific to the bike you are installing the product on. You have to pull a motor mount which is no big deal but they could at least tell you how to do it in the instructions provided for the guy who isn't familiar with thier frame slider bracket mounting system. Also you must remove the exhaust servo and you will need the servo buddy to blank off the electrical connector that returns to the wiring harness. There is no snipping of the exhaust servo as mentioned on woodcrafts site that I can see; the mounting of the right hand side brack only can be accomplished by the complete removal of the exhaust servo. Plan on spending a good 1-2 hours on install which should be much quicker if the instructions were legit. After you figure it all out it's pretty easy and mounts well but, they do have tight clearances! July 21, 2014
Yep....Frame Sliders I was looking for some frame sliders(no cut), but ended up getting these because price and ease of replacement if involved in a crash. On the 2013 zx6r the install was a breeze, just take your time and mark the small amount of fair to be removed and go slow I used a very sharp utility knife and when slow. I hope I never have to use them. Don't forget to purchase two(2) frame slider pucks, they are sold individually. July 13, 2014
Easy to install, visually appealing The install went pretty smoothly. A couple of things to note, however: 1. Make sure you have a long allen key set for installing these. I was under the impression these would be socket heads, and had already pulled out one of the bolts when I made the discovery. Could have saved myself a trip to the hardware store. 2. Apply some anti-seize to the threads, and they'll go in much easier. April 21, 2014
