great design
Installed on my 2015 Kawasaki EX300.
the vortex wire reaches far enough to get inside the tail of the bike without exposing the main brake light wires.
This saved me from having to solder and instead stripped the end of the main brake wires and coiled them around the vortex.

simply wrapped the coiled wires in tape and tucked them in the tail fairings

Works
Easy install and does what it should. Range of motion is great. Not too sensitive, yet it still responds when you activate the rear brake. Great device.

Does what it says
purchased this to facilitate the installation of my new rearsets. When selecting threads, I followed the info on the webpage and had no problems. I liked this one because it had a cleaner, more finished look.

The sensor that was on the master cylinder of my bike when I bought it had melted wires and wouldn't activate reliably. This is a drop in replacement for that sensor.

Purchase Vortex Rear Set (RS273K) for my 2013 CBR1000RR which will be pulling double duty for now as both my track bike and occasional street rides. I needed this switch to complete installation of rear sets so I could have brake light activation with rear brakes pedal.

Todd W on Jun 3, 2016
Is there instructions on how to install this, I can't see how to fix it to the brake lever?
James W on Jun 23, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This is a direct replacement for your banjo bolt and secures to your brake line. It's a pressure activated switch. It's a very easy install, but you will have to bleed the line(s) again. Make sure you order the correct thread pitch for your application.
Will this fit with other rearsets or just vortex rearsets?
Jerrek C on Aug 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This doesn't fit in the rear set itself but instead replaces the banjo bold in your brake master cylinder. This should fit all metric bikes regardless of rearset.
Please confirm that the 1.25mm switch will work for a 08 gsxr 600? Thanks
A shopper on Jan 13, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 1.25mm switch works for the big 3 Japanese manufactures. It worked perfect on my 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 (annerversy edition). But be careful when splicing the wire, cause you don't want to cut it too short.
I have a 2005 Yamaha R1 I need a banjo switch for it which would you recommend ?
