Warm and Toasty at 39 Degrees

In North Carolina you gotta love the fall... dark blue skies... crisp autumn air... and here in the mountains pretty cold mornings. About a week ago I awoke to the first below 40 degrees morning. Bundled up and headed out for my 70 mile commute. Man it got cold in a hurry, maybe partially because I've been spoiled by the 60-80 degree constant temps recently. So while at work I decided it was time for a heated vest. Did the research and decided the Tour Master Synergy vest with heated collar was the way to go. Ordered them and got the matching heated gloves too. They arrived on Monday and as luck would have it the next 2 mornings were in the 60's again. But this morning if was 39 at my house... chilly... as my uncle would say, nipply. :-) So on went the vest and gloves. Gloves are a pain to hook up first time... threaded wires through jacket fooled with it to get it just right... vest is a piece of cake to connect. Both worked flawlessly. With the vest on Low and the gloves on Med I stayed very, very toasty. I mean not just "not cold" but warm and toasty at 80mph highway speeds with it 42 degrees outside. The vest is almost too hot if that's possible. But the heat is even and man it's warm. I just rode and smiled. Folks kept looking at me and shaking their heads like, dude, it's too cold out here.. But I just kept smiling and rocking down the highway listening the Old Crow Medicine Show band. Pulled into parking garage beside of two others in the motorcycle parking area. Both were freezing and took long looks at how the vest and gloves hook up. To be honest, I am concerned about the power drain. With both of these on high and the high beams on I'm dangerously close to too many watts so I'll have to manage this but that's pretty much the norm for us with a low output alternator bike. If you're in cold weather paradise like me you can't go wrong with this stuff... it seems very, very solid and so far, one of the best purchases I've made. Thanks Tour Master from the bottom of my warm and toasty heart.

Happy with this vest

I'm very happy with this vest, it makes winter riding very comfortable. The built in controller is easy to use while riding. My Ninja250 has enough power to run it.

It needs to fit snugly to work well. Revzillia was great about exchanging my initial size for the next smaller one.

Works great. The size chart says I needed a large. I got an extra large and it fits good.
