Good protection for an affordable price I'm 6'4 210 pounds, and I quite like this back protector. Hopefully I will never need it to perform its job but it does make me feel safe. I use underneath my Dainese Avro textile jacket and it doesn't get in the way. The one thing I wish it had is more ways to adjust it and keep it closer to the body. March 29, 2014
Added protection I got this while it was on close out price, for. 59 bucks it's well worth it. I got this for extra back protection for anytime i ride. I'd prefer if the shoulder straps weren't elastic though so if I slide on my back it may move on you. March 17, 2014
Great Product for the Price I was looking for another back protector to share with the wife and found this to have great reviews (and a great price). Ordered it and after it arrived walked around the house with it (too cold / wet to go riding) and it is very comfy. No hard bits sticking in your back or anything. Hard to tell the "actual" CE rating. But it seems just as tough (if not tougher) than my CE level two back protector that I'll be reserving for racing now. It is larger than I expected. A bit big for the wife, but perfect for me (6'1", 175#). March 3, 2014
A great deal at the closeout price This back protector is a real steal at the closeout price. The material is a very dense layering of hard plate and dense foams in a thin, low profile design. Dont let the segmented plates fool you it only flexes at the join between the upper and lower segments but stiil feels very comfortable and surprisingly light. I am broad shouldered with a short torso but feel the fit was fine if a little long, and the coverage across the back down to the coccyx feels like I will be very protected in an unscheduled dismount. light , but feels bulletproof . fit is good . light and comfortable .looks badass. could benefit from a slightly larger Velcro patch on the belt . January 28, 2014
Great Protection I’m 6’0 and this spine protector fits me great. It covers my entire back; from the base of my neck almost to my tailbone. It’s lightweight and comfortably fits under a jacket without interfering with my helmet or making my jacket too tight at the neck. Most importantly it’s CE level 2 approved so you know it’s going to offer a ton of protection in a crash. January 22, 2014
Best! Teknic is the only way to go best back protector there is! January 13, 2014
Great protector Grate product for the money, the fit is a little larger but for the rest is an excellent choice. December 31, 2013

A shopper asked: How does this compare to the dianese back protector? Nov 13, 2013

Jorge A: Can't comment on how it compares to a Dianese back protector as I've never had a Dianese to compare it to. However, I did have a knox back protector previous to this and this seems slightly less protective than the knox. Though not by much and I have to quantifiable way of measuring this. Overall, it seems to be a very good piece. Fits comfortably and not too bulky under suit/jacket. Nov 14, 2013

Ernesto P: The Dianese back protector I'm familiar with is designed to go in a special pocket inside your jacket, the upside of that is that it feels more integrated with your jacket but the downsize is that it also makes it feel more bulky or stretched at the top of your back 'cause it's thicker.
I prefer the Teknic Spine guard cause it covers my lower back and I feel its more ergonomic.

David T: I assume you are talking about 'Dainese'', correct? There are many from Dainese. The Teknik protector is very sturdy and comfortable. I've worn it under a Spidi suit all day long with no complaints during days at the track. It isn't super flexible, but I think that's kind of the point of it. It's a good design and covers a lot of your back. Hope that is helpful. Nov 13, 2013

Michael H: Havnt tried a dianese back protector.
But this is very comfortable and fits well. Lots of protection as well. My whole back is covered. I like it, and recommend it.
