Teknic Chicane Race Suit 4 5 1 1
See you on the track. I bought the size 42 after trying it on, and refusing to part with it. I'm 5'6.5", 35" chest, 31" jean size, and a 20" arm. The 42 fit perfect! And, when hunched over like the suit is designed for, it forms to your body. The suit becomes you. I'm preparing for track days this summer. By far more comfortable then my cheaper track pants and jacket zippered to it. I have not rode in this suit to rate it more then average durability and ventilation. Not much for shin pads, but a good boot should cover that. I wore padded riding shorts underneath the suit for extra protection and fill in room. Plenty of room left over for a body back protector and chest protectors. Nice and slim in the shoulders. February 17, 2013

What is the "Armorshield Spine Guard"?

The description says this suit comes with the Armorshield Spine Guard (actually, there's a typo and it says "amorshield", but either way....). What kind of back protector is that? Is that good enough for a track day, or do I need something else?

Answer: 
The Armorshield Spine Guard is a foam insert, thus using it alone will not be accepted by most track organizations. That being said, we would recommend upgrading to a strap on back protector such as the Alpinestars Bionic Air Back Protector for optimal protection.

Teknic jacket and race suits are European cut and are more narrow in the arms, chest and shoulders than other brands.  Their leathers are particularly form fitting.  RevZilla recommends ordering jackets and suits one size larger than Teknic size charts suggest.
