Sizing issues solved!
Upon reading tons of reviews saying to order a size up and measuring my feet 10 times, I ordered an 11. I am normally a 10 or a 10.5 depending on the shoe. the 11 was WAY too big. I re-ordered a 10, and they're still a tiny bit large, but otherwise fit great. Im going to put an insole in them (the stock ones are hard and don't do much) and they will fit perfectly. So for me at least, they seem to fit true to size.
as for quality/features/etc the shoes are awesome. Protection seems great and the lacing system is really cool. I wish the top laced the same way, rather than Velcro, though.

Great boots but are not indestructible
I've been wearing these daily for about a year and a half and have had an overall excellent experience with them. Very comfortable and the wired laces function well and hold up over the long term. The only negative is that I've already worn through the outer shell on the toe just off of the replaceable toe slider. I've developed holes on both sides which eventually will render them unusable, especially if I find myself in rain. This is probably a function of my urban riding style with lots of stops for lights, although the problem would be solved if the slider extended a few centimetres more around the whole toe. Dragging the outside of the toe on stopping is likely the cause. Other than that this is a recommended product.

Boots are awesome!
The leather is super firm and has hard plastic running up from the side of the boot which protects twisting laterally well. You are definitely giving up protection by not getting a full boot, but they are comfortable to wear around with street clothes. High quality overall, these will definitely be staying with me for a long time.

Ended up with getting the most protection without having to deal with a high boot. I really feel safe in these, there is no shin and calf protection though.
They could use some upgraded insoles but are comfortable enough to walk a distance in and you have full range of motion at the ankle. The vent works well and I have not overheated in them with the CA summer heat.
Here is a how to on getting in and out fast. Anthony does it in the video. Use one hand to unclip the red tab, the other hand on the black knob to release, pull it all the way out then reclip it. Now you can easily slide out. Flip the ratchet open and turn it tight once your back in.
These have been awesome, I love the 'race' sole it's grip on the road and bike is perfect.

I LOVE these things! I thought about this purchase for a long time. I ride a DRZ400SM and everyone was telling me to go with a full boot. I don't like a full boot to much restriction for me. But these are perfect. No break in period. If your a SM guy or gal and are on the fence about these don't hesitate get them you wont be disappointed they are exactly what I was looking for in a boot.

Expensive, but worth every cent.
I thought about this boot for about two months before purchasing. Now that I've got them, can't figure out what took so long to decide. They are a little tight and narrow but I still have less than ten rides in them. Mainly, I can't flex my toes with them on. Not a big deal at all. when they are on, your foot or toes is not moving. Which is what it's supposed to do.
All that disappears when you are actually riding. Walking around all day off your bike, you might need to loosen them up with the TechnoBuckle two or three clicks. It is a riding shoe, so when your on the bike, no problem at all. You forget about them while riding and only remember them when the bottom of the boots gives your feet feedback about the type of road your on. Anytime you change road conditions you'll know right away.
In closing, I gotta talk about the "WOW" factor. These boots don't look like ANYTHING else on the market. The first five rides I had them on I must have had about 2-3 people per ride ask me about them. The barbershop was the worse. I walked in to the packed barbershop like always, they had a full on conversation about whatever they was talking about. All these people were strangers to me except the two barbers. Anyway, one minute after sitting down I look up to see everybody staring at me ,mainly the Street Burners. Don't know what they was talking about before, but the whole conversation shifted to the Street Burners. Followed by me being asked several different times to raise my bootleg up, for individual close up review. The morale of this story is that I was not expecting that type of reaction from any type of shoe or boot. Which to me, says something about this boot. If you don't believe me, buy them and try it out. Just my opinion, thanks for reading this long review.
