Excellent boots!
Excellent boots! I would highly recommend for anyone doing sport touring or adventure touring in cooler or wet weather.

Great boot that fits my fat feet and allows a good range of adjustment to accommodate different socks.
I've been looking for a good, waterproof boot for a long time but am very hard to fit so I didn't want to try buying on line. I stopped at the Revzilla store on my annual trip from SW FL to central PA.<br><br>Staff at the store were absolutely fantastic in trying to meet my needs - wide foot bed, no zippers, waterproof, no laces, protection and adjustability. After trying on about a dozen boots these met all those requirements.<br><br>Boots fit my fat feet, the velcro closure system provides a tight fit whether wearing dress socks or Gerbing heated ones. My heated insoles fit with no problems. Feet stayed dry through light and moderate rain on my ride home but I haven't ridden in a FL thunderstorm yet although I expect to stay dry when I do.<br><br>The only downside to the boots is that the toe box is large and the soles are a pretty heavy lug. The large to box took some getting used to for positive up-shifts on my Goldwing. A little concentration and some practice eliminated the shifting problem. The lug sole also took some getting used to when moving around on the pegs and walking, but both situations will be taken care of with further use.<br><br>All in all I'm extremely happy with these boot and can't say enough about the help (and patience) of the Revzilla staff in setting me up.<br><br>A word of caution if you visit the store - it can be hazardous to your bank balance because there are so many good things to buy.

Great boot
There are no down sides to these boots, buy once cry once.

Sidi Quality
The Italians sure make the best street boots. I've had Dianese's, Oxtar's and now these Sidi's. This is a high quality boot with everything you'd expect from Sidi. I wanted a beefier street boot and this is about as beefy as it gets w/out going to a dual sport boot. They are a bit tall, but you may want that. They are also a bit high in price, which you may not. Style-wise, I wear them to work and nobody realizes they are motorcycle boots. They're hot, prob. because they're Gore Tex. My overall rating doesn't do the boots justice, but mostly because price and lack of air flow bring it down. If your looking for high quality with great fit and finish, this is your boot.

2 years and 15,000 miles later
The quality and superiority of these boots become evident as soon as you take them out of the box. And the perception only gets better with every ride. For a road boot, they are substantial: high, rugged, heavily protective of all parts of the foot and ankle. A bit stiff at first, but if other's are right, they should loosen up. The only caveat is that they have been warm this Spring and may get hot in summer, (but then they will never be cold). We'll see. Yes, they are expensive, but considering that they will last twice as long ( or longer ) than those other puppies you were considering, think of them as "half price."<br><br>I have had the same pair of Sidi mountain biking shoes for over seven years and thousands of miles. Despite incredible abuse (and spectacular crashes) they are still going strong. Sidi is the #1 rated shoe brand in the bicycling world and I have no doubt these On Road boots will be just as exceptional, too.

so far so fab!
Oh, so happy to have some great riding boots! Really nicely built and comfortable. They do fit small, tho. My size Nine Canadian Foot feels cramped in the Euro 43's for sure. If they don't stretch a bit after break in I may have a tough time gettin the woolies in, but that's my only gripe. Been riding in the High 30's and man you sweat, but it never really gets uncomfortable in the boot, just really hot! Normal temps ( should they return) will be welcome. I'm not blamin the boot, mind you !

High Quality, waterproof, windproof
I like the boots so far, I think they fit pretty well and protect my foot very well. I'm still getitng used to the larger heel, sometimes I hit the rear break a little hard because Im not used to the boots yet.<br><br>I've ridden in sub 40 degrees Farenheit with these and in heavy rain. My feet were cozy and dry the entire time, now if I could just find some gloves that kept my hands warm...

Great Product
Wore a 44 in an AlpineStar boot, and it was very tight after a long ride. Originally purchased a 45 in the Sidi, and needed a 46. Perfect fit after 12 - 24-hrs in the saddle! Perfectly comfortable when ride temps went from 17-F to 78-F. No water intrusion during a 3-hr rain/thunderstorm.

Very good boots
The boots are extremely well built and surprisingly warm. Fits true to size. Very good support at the ankle<br><br>One issue is that they are a bit stiff and need a bit of break-in before ankle movement loosens up. Otherwise a really great boot.
February 16, 2009
Great for long distances.
I needed a boot that wasn't too flashy and that was high quality so that's why I chose them. They are pretty big and they take a while to be broken in. Not sure if I would ride them on a sport bike but they defiantly work on sport tourers. These boots are pretty technical but not as much as track boots.

Over 100,000 miles on my old Sidi boots.. Every time I put them on I'd say "Happy Feet" .. Why would I buy another brand? And now the on road is goretex. And has a lug sole. I'll let you know after these have the next 100,000 miles

Sidi boots are well made and fit my feet well. The pair I currently have were purchased 13 years ago, and have about 60,000 miles on them, and still look great. I also have Sidi cycling shoes, and they are equally well made.

I have been wearing this boot for 15 years. My feet have never been cold nor wet. They are my choice for cold and/or wet European trips as well. Very comfortable walkers and quick on/off at security. I ride BMW adventure and HD road glide, great for both.

Do not want wet feet! Wore Gore Tex when it first came out in the Army Airborne back in 1987, and it is a truly awesome material! AATW!!

Because my current pair of Sidi boots have been great for over 100,000 miles of sport touring but are becoming "long in the tooth" and showing a bit of wear. They have been a great boot and I wouldn't think of changing brands.

SIDI motorcycle boots are one of the best motorcycle boots ever. lots of good reviews for it were written in magazines as well as verbal reviews and videos. also GOR TEX membrane was hard reason to make this choice.

I finally wore out my first pair of SIDI ON ROAD boots--after nearly 15 years! They were amazingly comfortable boots for sport-touring and walking at my destination. They've ridden through plenty of heavy rains, and never a leak. If the new ones are anywhere near as good as the old ones, they'll be great!
Roger F on Jul 10, 2014
SIDI made-in-Italy quality, Gore-tex, very easy to take on and off for the amount of coverage and protection they offer. Grease-resistant sole really works...put my foot down in a puddle of motor oil while parking my bike in a dark garage and didn't go down. I certainly would have in my old boots.
Douglas C on Jun 25, 2014
I wore Vendramini Marathon Steel for many years, but find the Sidi on-road to be every bit as comfortable and waterproof and quality-built (at a better price--but, neither are low cost). The soles are reliably non-slip even on diesel and water found at service stations. I bought my normal shoe-size, and they fit well.
DANIEL K on Jun 9, 2014
I wanted to have a 100% waterproof boot. My Sidi Adventure Rain boots were not waterproof.
Lynne G on May 26, 2014
Best boots ive purchased in a long while, great for off road adventure riding or touring.Waterproof even in total downpours.Highly recommend these boots,a little break in period a few days and that's it.
James W on May 22, 2014
Great quality, very professional product that will last for years
Antonio N on May 15, 2014
I have had a pair of SIDI boots for about 8 years as my primary boot. The only thing that ever went bad was a zipper pull broke off (which I replaced). Finally, the soles are worn out. This On Road boot looks like a fantastic replacement, and I like the "no zipper" velcro fastening system.
Frank G on May 4, 2014
My current pair of boots are a bit too small and they no longer are water proof. I wanted a boot for touring, water proof, good protection and highly recommended.

I researched Gore-Tex boots for at least a month before making a purchase. These are a must for any adventure-tourer that wants one boot to accomplish a great many tasks - from riding to walking in all weather conditions.

All the reviews on these boots were positive. I need a boot with versatility, for everyday riding and when I venture offroad, also something I can easily walk in. Hopefully these will match the bill.

""Revzilla is a one stop shop for almost everything I need for my bike. Prices are comparable to other sites. Shipping is free even to military FPO/APO addresses. They will make attempts to price match items if you find them cheaper at other sites. Returns are relatively easy. No restocking fees. There are many videos available for product overviews. Friendly customer service. Great advice from knowledgable staff. They give you honest and practical "advice" based on the type of riding you do and don't just try to sell you on the most expensive stuff. They don't work on commission so there's no reason for them to do that anyway.""

Time for a good waterproof riding boot that is higher than previous boots. Rain pants always seem to ride over top of the shorter boots even with the elastic straps that seem to last one season. This should cure the problem once and for all.
Tom O on Oct 31, 2013
Reasonably protective, waterproof, and somewhat wearable off the bike. I love them and won't ride without them - street or dirt.

Is the Sidi On Road Gortex boot re-soleable? If so, do you stock the soles?
A shopper on Jun 22, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Having had these boots repaired after an accident I was told the sole was welded onto the shoe and could not be replaced. Now this might not stop you from grinding it off yourself, flat, then applying a new sole over it as I have heard some have done with other boots.
Hi, how heavy are these boots, everything I have read tells me I want them, but I need something not too heavy as I will wear them all work day.?. Thanks, john
A shopper on May 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The boot isn't heavy at all. I wouldn't recommend wearing them for all day walking. The boot toe box doesn't give at all, which is good for riding. But, unforgiving on the toes if they are rubbing against the toe box. The boot is also high. They rub against your lower leg and calf, and don't flex much around your ankle. They're not cowboy boots. They're riding boots. They're great for long distance, wet weather riding.
sorry if this question appears twice.
How durable is the velcro? These boots do not have a zipper. Every velcro closure I've ever owned has worn out and lost its "stick" over a couple of years. Is the velcro warranted for life also, as is the gore tex?
John D on Feb 10, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This boot has very agressive "super-industrial" (my wife's technical term, not mine) velcro. the velcro runs the full width of the upper tab, plus it is well placed on the lower 2 tabs. On those long ride days, when I'm bone tired, I can barely snatch the tabs apart, they stick so well! I have had these boots for almost 2 years now, and the tabs are still sticking strong! I can't speak to the warranty, but the boot is very well made overall. Fits true to size. Allow some time (about 2 weeks) for break-in. I don't think you will be disappointed with this dual-sport boot.
Hey guys I have a narrow foot, B width. I've read and watched videos that indicated the sidi run a bit narrower than some other boots.
Are the onroads a narrow boot? or are they up to a D?

Any body out there have a narrow foot and wore these boots?
Brad T on Feb 7, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I've had these boots for almost two years and find them very comfortable. They were ready to ride right out of the box. They are a pleasure to get on and off, get better with age and are waterproof though I haven't really tested them here in California.

I don't know what letter width my foot is, but it is certainly narrower than average. I have a very narrow heel. The fit is extremely comfortable. The velcro closures enable a customer fit. These are great boots and I'd recommended them to street riders wanting a great all around boot for any season.
The care instructions that come with the boot say that you should not use shoe polish on the boots as it will negatively affect the breathability of the boot. What do you suggest using to cover the inevitable scuff marks and dings on the boot's leather surface?
A shopper on Jul 4, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I didn't know about not putting polish on them.
I've polished mine, multiple times (did, just last night).
After two years, I think they look quite nice.
I haven't thought about just rinsing them off, although I guess that's why they are waterproof.
I usually wipe them down, before polishing.
I live in Australia and my size is 11 in US size. If I get the boots and they don't fit can I return them?

A shopper on Sep 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes. RevZilla could not be more accommodating. I really don't know about the international shipping, so I would ask. I wear size 10 US, and my size 10s fit great. Be forewarned, the boots are stiff at first and take months to get really comfortable. Not sorry I bought them. Not many boots have the hiking soles.
what is the height of Sidi on road waterproof Gortex boots and the height of Sidi Canyon Gortex waterproof boot
A shopper on Oct 26, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Others have give measurements.
I'll say that the top of the boot sits right in the middle of my shin.
It will protect your shin if your toe slips off the peg, but won't protect under your knee.
I understand that the larger size boots 48 & above have whats known as a Champion Air Sole vs the regular sole, is this indeed true and if so whats the difference? TIA
A shopper on Jun 9, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I purchased a size 45. Mine have regular rubber soles. I have no idea what's Champion Air Soles. Maybe like a air sneaker sole.
I have a 10 year old pair of Sidi Discoveries in size 42. Does the On Road size the same?
A shopper on Oct 28, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The On Roads fit a little snug. I sent the first pair back and ordered a size up, which fit perfect. I can't compare them to Discoveries. This is my first pair of Sidi boots. I've road through a couple of rain storms while traveling, and my feet remained dry.
I looked at the Sidi website and they show the On Road with a "welded" on sole vice the stitched on lug sole you show on the Revizilla site.

If just the welded sole what are the pros & cons?
A shopper on Jul 9, 2012
BEST ANSWER: The boot that is shown on the SIDI website is the European version. All SIDI On Road Gore-Tex boots sold in the USA will all have the stitched on lug sole, and are otherwise identical to the European version. The advantage to the Lug sole is the additional firmness and grip that it offers. While the welded on sole is softer, less durable, but is replaceable.
