fits hjc rps10/rpha10 My hjc chin curtain tore so I pruchased this to replace it. Covers a lot more that the old curtain. Just remember to really jam this one in to make sure it stays on May 18, 2015
So much better with this. Let me be honest, Shoei rf1200 should had came with this already built on. Why it doesn't? I am not sure, maybe its so we can replace/wash it. It is so much better with than without. It is quieter, less debris dust and bugs getting in. It blocks windnoise, however I wear ear plugs, it did drop the wind noise/pressure a lot. Totally worth it. April 25, 2015
Why didn't I get sooner..... Thinking of getting a new helmet because of noise? I was then I read about a chin curtain on a blog and bam saved myself hundreds of $$$'s. Simple easy and extremely functional. April 13, 2015
Great saviour from bugs / flies / moths Bought this item to go with my Shoei Qwest Overt Helmet (since it didn't come as standard with the stock helmet). Fit is hassle-free, and when combined with a balaclava for long distance or highway riding, it delivers spot on to keep me free from bugs / flies / moths. A must have from Shoei for a steal price. Works with Arai helmets I installed this on my Vector 2 to keep wind from blowing up in the helmet and drying out my contacts while riding. It works well even though it's made by Shoei. You can pull the soft fabric chin lip that comes with your Arai and slide this in its place. So far it stays in place without adhesive but it is possible to use a little glue if I need to. Shoei X-12/RF-1100/RF-1200/Qwest Chin Curtain for Arai XD-4. Bought this for an Arai XD-4 helmet. Was a little tricky putting it in since it is not designed for this helmet but you just need to force it into position. Once it's in there it won't move. I bought it to decrease the airflow into the helmet which is excessive when at highway speeds. December 20, 2014
Helmet chin wind guard This is for shoei helmets and I own an arai. I wanted more wind protection for my helmet which arai did it offer. I was on one of the thumper forums and found that someone else used this product. I ordered it ( great price) and received it quickly. Fit my helmet like a charm. Works great. I will certainly will enjoy with the fall months coming. Thanks revzilla. September 8, 2014

T I: Too much air and debris come in from the chin area, want to block some out Oct 18, 2015
David S: As a prototype. I'm trying to figure out how to make a chin curtain for my J-Cruse helmet. It's the wind noise and the rain coming up from the gas tank I'm trying to block. There is no chin curtain for an open face helmet with a full face shield. There ought to be. Sep 13, 2015

Chuck L asked: Came with my Shoei RF-1200 in the box, but the directions are poor on installation. Never seen one on, so no idea where it goes. I could only install it around the face as you look through the shield. Don't think that's right. Wouldn't make sense to cal it a chin curtain then! Any videos on installing? Sep 27, 2015

Thomas L: This chin curtain goes into the bottom edge of the helmet shell and blocks the gap between the helmet and your neck.

The plastic outer edge (not shown as the item photo shows the bottom of the item) goes between the bottom edge of the helmet and the liner. When you put the helmet on, the small semicircle goes against your neck. Once installed and you are wearing the helmet normally, the chin curtain is parallel to the ground.

I don't think I can attach photos.

The item works nicely blocking wind noise and cold air.

Ray W: Hi Chuck, the chin curtain is mounted under the helmet. Turn the upside down and push the plastic extended pieces in between the molding. It simply pushes into the helmet. It is effective in the cold and also reduces wind noise for better Bluetooth communications around the microphone area.
