Perfect for the price point
I wanted to upgrade from my old $150 black modular helmet to something more visible with better airflow. I did NOT want to spend $500-700 though, so I thought this one was perfect.
Modular piece is easily operated with one hand. On my old one I had to hold the helmet with one hand and pull down the modular piece with the other because it would stick.
Airflow is great, helmet is comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and I haven't noticed any noise. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a slide-down sun visor, so I have to carry around my sunglasses and pull over when it starts to get dark to take them off.

I would buy it again
This helmet fit me perfectly, and has even wind drag even when turning your head at higher speeds. The chin bar latch is easy to use, and is a nice feature. The chin strap has a small tab that makes release easy, and a snap keeps the strap from blowing in the wind. It's easy to put regular glasses on after putting the helmet on. The padding ins recessed just enough in the glasses area. The visor is very easy to remove to clean and replace. It is not as quite at a full face helmet, but much quieter than a 1/2 helmet. There is some wind noise generated on the sides of the helmet, likely caused by the two separate pieces.

Great Helmet
I wanted a new helmet to use with a communicator.
Pretty quiet I must add.
Using a half helmet for as long as i have, I was not looking forward to a narrowed field of view. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this helmet provided an excellent field of view.
Great helmet at this price.

Good Helmet for the price
Before I tried few modular helmets. This helmet was comfortable.(I know it's depend to head and chin) It has good quality. No noise (like cheap modular helmets) when you close the chin bar. No smell of plastic or something like that. It's not noisy when you ride direction the wind, but the wind is from you side it's noisy. I'm not sure that it's good for more than $400, but I'm sure now it's a good choice for $300. BMW F700GS

Great product for the price
I've had the Shoei Multitec for about a month now and I am very happy with the purchase. The helmet is not as quiet as my other full-face helmets, but I guess I had expected this based on the reviews I have read about the multitec. The fit is great and the airflow works for me (it does fog up a little bit during stops). The only negative I can say about this product is perhaps the shape of the helmet. Unlike my other full-face helmets, the clearance between the chin guard and my chin is about half an inch. The chin guard does not touch my face even when going against the wind and the minimal clearance doesn't bother me, but just wanted to point it out as a possible issue for those (like me) that have more of an oval shaped face.

Almost a 5
I love this helmet for its comfort and great looks. Shoei obviously makes a great helmet. The only real reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it is pretty noisy from wind. It's not a big concern to me because I wear earplugs 99% of the time, but it should be noted for those who don't.
Revzilla rocks, and as always had great customer service for my transaction.

2nd Multi-Tec Helmet
This is my second Multi-Tec helmet from SHOEI. I can't really complain i guess. I haven't really owned another full face helmet that is around the same price so I don't know if my pickiness on noise level is true, but I do feel it is kinda windy. Other than that I think its been the best investment in helmets. I have bought some other half helmets and etc and they in no way compare in quality to these. Then again they were a fraction of the cost.

I love this helmet
PROS: Very light, wide view, comfortable foam inside. Latches are easy to use. Nice air flow. I had an HJC Symax for 8 years. I like this one just as much. I bought a Shoei just to try something new . I like them both about the same.
CONS: no pinlock, but I can put in a fog city shield. This helmet is louder than my 8 year old HJC Symax. That surprises me. I need ear plugs with the Shoei - not with the HJC. :(
