Shoei Multitec LE Police Helmet
I love this helmet. I had concerns about purchasing a modular helmet including the possibility that it would not be as quiet as a regular helmet, that is not the case. The air flow could be better but being able to lift up the bottom to cool off at will is incredibly awesome, definitely worth the trade off. Is it as safe as a regular helmet because it has hinges? Probably not is my guess but only Shoei could answer that question. It does seem incredibly well made and appears in all respects to be very safe. With the the technology of modular helmets available now i'm not quite sure why anyone would want a regular helmet anyway but that's just my opinion. As far as the style, it's gorgeous The LE Police Helmet is really a cool style, you don't have to be in law enforcement to like this great color/style combo. I use the white section to put a couple select stickers. Looks great.
I give this helmet 5 stars, I do wish it was a little less expensive though but that can be said for anything, right?

Kenneth B:It's not the same helmet, the Multitec does not include a integrated sun visor. Also, the intakes on the Multitec are a bit different from the Neotec. Most reviews I've read state that the Multitec is the quieter of the two. Me personally, I ride a motorcycle with a windscreen so I can't really complain about noise on my Multitec.Nov 4, 2014
David M:No. The Neotec is the new model - it has a slightly different head shape and an internal visor shade. The multitec is the older model, no internal shade and a slightly rounder head shape. Great helmet for the price.Nov 2, 2014
Carl C:I have tried on a Neotec helmet and find that it is the same size as the Multitec, but because of cost, I did not buy one. Thus, I do not have extended on-the-road experience. Sorry I could not be of more help.Nov 2, 2014
Robert D:I do not own this helmet. I have the multitec. Sorry I could not help. The Multi TEc I bought last year is the absolute loudest helmet I have ever owned. I won't buy another Shoei. For half the price, my HJC is much much better for me. My personal opinion. They both fit well and are comfortable. But the HOEI is ridiculously loud.Nov 21, 2014
