Shoei CF-1V Face Shield With Tearoff Posts
Crystal clear. Works perfectly on my Shoei Multi-Tech. As always, great service from Revzilla.

In lieu of getting a knock off shield, I chose an OEM replacement for my dinged up shield. The simple reason is that I don't know what the knock off are made of or their ability to hold up in a crash. The last thing I want if I'm rolling around the pavement is to take rocks and glass in through a damaged face shield.

I bought the half smoked shield for my X-11. I wanted a shield with dual purpose for day and night rides. It does okay with daytime riding, I still get some glare when riding towards a sunrise or sunset. I can still ride at night with the half smoke.

Great quality as usual from Shoei.
Bought two shields (smoke and partial smoke) to replace scratched original clear on my Multitec helmet. They fit like a glove w no adjustment necessary and are a breeze to swap. Optics are flawless. Nice to have a clear field of view again!

Best Shield I Have Used
This shield is the best I have used, and I have used a lot. For perspective, my wife and I have ridden an average of 10,000 to 12,000 miles a year for the past 20 years. I wear glasses with transition lens and any shield filters out UV light, precluding my glasses from darkening enough to be of benefit in bright sun. This becomes a problem when rounding a curve or cresting a hill and suddenly facing bright sun. It is also a problem when riding into the sun and the sun is low enough to create glare. Prescription lens sunglasses, and full tinted shields are options, but that requires carrying more stuff and changing shields and/or glasses when riding at night. This shield solves the problem. Just tilting your head allows you to adapt quickly to changes in lighting. It does not take much head movement or require holding your head in an uncomfortable position. Your experience may be different, but I no longer notice that I am adjusting my head. While I do not ride a lot at night, I have no problems with the shield when riding at night. Just like in the day time, adjust your head to allow the right amount of light. Kind of handy when meeting oncoming traffic and cars running high intensity headlights.

Shield does its job and fit right into a 5 year old beater helmet. The "dark" could be a bit darker, but it does do a fine job and killing the sun's glare.
