Can't beat the price! I've been looking for tires about 2 years now & was given estimates ranging from, $425-$550. I own a v-star 1100 & didn't wanna dump a lot of $ into it. So after listening to a buddy of mine I decided to look into Revzilla. What an excellent company, tires where the least expensive from everywhere else I looked. I installed & balanced these tires myself. Along w/the dyna beads I installed my tires for less then $200. Put about 300 miles on them & so far are excellent! September 8, 2014
Great product! Great Price! Hard to believe you can get those together anymore....great product and price! Nothing to fear with these tires they look right and feel right! Solid construction, great tread pattern and depth. As long as they wear as advertised I will be buying many more. September 8, 2014
Great Tire, great price. I bought these tires after riding on 2 sets of Shinko 777"s on my 04 RoadStar. They were great on the cruiser. So, I felt confident in the Shinko brand that I never hesitated in buying and putting them on my old XJ 900 RK Seka. These tires have met all my expectations and all with a fantastic price to boot. I can't really comment on Tread Life but after 2,000 miles, I can't detect much wear on the rear tire. August 26, 2014
Good all round value for the money I was referred to this brand by another rider who rides 60 miles every day in Tampa FL. I bought both front and back tires for a custom 800 cc cruiser and they have done everything I've asked of them. Good dry and wet traction in hot and tropical rainstorms. August 18, 2014
Great value over OEM replacement I got these tires based on price after reading a bunch of positive reviews. I put them on my 2009 Vulcan 900 Custom. I've done a mix of lots of busy city and some highway driving. Grip is an upgrade from OEM definitely. They hug the road and inspire confidence. Driving them back from the shop after having them installed was a night and day difference, I was hauling into corners all over the place. I have not driven in wet weather no put on thousands of miles so I can only guess Average ratings on those two counts. Overall make your bike fun to ride though and feel great as far as confidence and safety goes. Recommended! August 11, 2014
Good mileage Used a 130/90/16 on the rear...ran smooth, excellent dry traction, satisfactory wet traction. Rode around 8500 miles before retiring it...could have gotten more miles on windy ride instead of a straight highway commute. August 2, 2014
great tires! Although I cannot comment on the tread life so far, as I have only put about 1000 miles on them. And most of that was the few days after installing them. Low noise, good dry grip, little slippery when wet (but I was still breaking them in) and the profile rides very smooth when upright or lay in into a corner. Overall, I would recommend these to anyone, and will likely use them for years to come as long as the tread life is good. July 29, 2014
Purchased for my Yamaha Venture - Great Tire I have 5,000 miles on the rear tire and it still good for another 1500 or so. I ride fairly aggressively and 90% of the time 2 up with gear. This tire has performed as well as the Dunlop 404 or the Metzler 880's I have used in the past. Don't let the price fool you, it is a good value, not a cheap tire. Having said that, make sure your tire pressures are at the recommended setting from your Motorcycle's manufacturer. I have noticed that even a few pounds of under inflation can cause rear steer issues and death wobbles. Also, make sure you match the front and rear tire, don't mix brands and compounds. The 230 Tour Master tire has been great. July 20, 2014

Curtis T: I run the Shinko 230 on my Kawasaki Vulcan and really am pleased with it. It rides and handles better than the Dunlop tire did. I suggested a friend of mine try it on his Harley Heritage and he did. He rides double most of the time and so far has about 5000 miles on it. He will put on another Shinko when this one wears out. Robert M: It is a tubeless tire. It is not a radial tire though. I have about 3000 miles on mine. They're mounted on a 1983 Honda Magna. It's hard to find radials in these sizes.
Decent performance, very affordable.

Tom K asked: I need a replacement for the original equipment style Dunlops that are on the 1981 Honda CM400 I just bought and Shinko was recommended by a local bike shop as a good first tire. I am 58 and have not ridden in over 30 years and I want to start off with something inexpensive. I plan on doing occasional recreational rides only consisting of no more than 10 miles at a time and speeds not above 45MPH for my first year. After that I will probably move up to a larger bike so I don't want to invest a lot into high end tires from the start. Anyone have any input on these tires? Sep 24, 2014

jack b: Tom,

I put a Shinko on my '98 Valkyrie. It balanced up perfectly and has proven to be a good tire for me - rides & handles just fine. Given the weight of your 400, a Shinko should last you into ur sunset years should you choose to stay with the bike!
