Great helmet!
Per the measurements I would be a small but after trying on a small at a local dealership a medium was definitely the right size. I had read numerous reviews that advised to use the measurements to determine your size and then to buy the next size up and they were right. My husband bought the same helmet and the same applied to him. Per the measurements he was a medium but he purchased the large and it was perfect.
One week after receiving our helmets we took a 1000+ mile trip in 100+ degree weather and we still liked the helmets at the end of the day...and that says a lot being that we went from wearing no helmets to wearing full face helmets. We also purchased the Cardo Scala G4 intercom system for bike to bike communication and it worked great in this helmet!

Bright, light and comfortable
I'm a commuter/weekend dualsport rider and I've been using the hi-vis version for most of the summer. Around here I'm known as 'the guy with the helmet'. This thing is BRIGHT, and I love it. People see me coming and don't pull out in front. I use the sun visor as a supplement to my sunglasses and it's just enough extra to shade those going-into-the-sun times when I used to have to shade my eyes with my hand (you know what I mean). I admit that I think the fighter-pilot style sun shield is way cool. The exo 900 is a smaller volume helmet than my old helmet and I like that; it's less apt to catch the wind when I look up or to the side. Face shield works well, and the vents do, too. I'll never use the open face conversion (um, let's see...wear a helmet that totally exposes your face...NOT), but some people like that sort of thing. Really, the only negative is the old-school double d-ring chin strap. Wish it had a ratcheting quick-release like Nolan offers. I wear a 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 hat size and the large fits just right. Nice and snug.
It's not a super expensive helmet, either, so there's no excuse not to change out your old helmet. I held onto my old helmet for years longer than I should have, because it was expensive. I hope they still make this helmet in a few years, because I'll be very likely to buy another one.

Day Beacon!
Great value for a convertible helmut- love the drop-down sun visor. Hemet wants to rock forward, not sure if this is because my head is improperly shaped for this build of helmut- Round Vs Oval... Revzilla did not help or specify or show initiative to find out beforehand. My glasses do not fit in the helmut- so I have to make some cuts in the foam somehow.Worn it for 2 weeks so far- every day. I wish helmut companies would make any effort to help those who have to wear glasses!!! I would love to get some alternate cheek pads- which are not difficult to accommodate, and I would pay whatever it cost. Watch this helmut, it is very slippery due to its coated color- and I dropped it in the first week and chipped the paint already. All in all it is a good helmut and highly visible, I feel safer wearing it by a factor of 10. The flip up front is great for short trips, and with the visor down I look like a future cop, transformer... The indents on the face shield are sight enough for limiting breath fog. Air flow is pretty good, although I ride behind the shield of my Goldwing- so I don't have access to much wind. It appears to be quiet, I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5 for wind. The helmut fit is a 3.8 out of 5. The looks are 5 out of 5. The style is likewise 5 out of 5. The bonus visibility is 5 out of 5. Overall- it is a generous 4.3 stars out of 5.

A good deal.
A slightly tight fit at sides makes this helmet difficult to put on wearing glasses, Overall I am very happy with this modular (neon) helmet.

First flip Up
I found this helmet to be rather noisy at higher speeds but not anything outrageous. Not a lot of distance with the helmet yet but overall a very comfortable helmet and well balanced.

I wanted a modular for easy on and off with glasses. Found that you have to pull the sides apart to make that happen. I also liked the idea of the slide down sun visor. However I did find it difficult to do while riding. I think it may just take a bit more practice.

Get this off my head
I've worn a Shoei RF-1000 Medium for the past 5 years. At a Rally I tried on the Scorpion in a large and it seemed snug but comfortable. I couldn't find any dealers nearby that carried the Scorpion EXO 900 so I had to rely on measurements and my experience from the Rally. So I ordered a Large. After wearing it on a few short trips (s ventilation is horrible.
I do like the fighter pilot style sun visor, as another review said it helps when riding into the sun.

expected more.
For the price I think it could be more comfortable. I had to take a little Styrofoam to not hurt the top of the head of my wife. If you want a helmet in the first line, drop the Chinese. Buy the Japanese and Germans ....

Bad Venting,
Same size from HJC to Scorpion. This EXO900 does not do well with the Visor up, very airtight, youd think your suffocating. The Vents do not work well, rear vent broke within 5 weeks, replacement part not found.

Like the "transformer" aspect, allowing for transition from full face style to 3/4 helmet in a few minutes.

Wanted a second modular helmet with the hi-vis yellow color . Read some very good reviews, liked many of the features and how could you pass up the price? Want it to be a little more comfortable than my Nolan N104 hi-vis orange.

After reading several articles and looking at the reviews I felt this would be a good purchase. I currently own a motocross oriented helmet and wanted a more highway friendly one.The deciding factor DOT / ECE approved ! I ride a KLR 650.
G W on Jan 7, 2015
I have owned and used modular helmets since the early 80's and this is my second EXO-900. In my experience they have proven to be comfortable, reasonably quiet and a good value. Depending on day and mood and destination I move from sidecar rig to road bike to dual sport and find the chin guard to peak change over to be convenient and easy to use.
Alastair M on Dec 30, 2014
This is my second scorpion helmet. I know that they make quality gear and I really love the features of this helmet.
Taylor B on Dec 15, 2014
It was a great value at this closeout price. Like the ability to take off modular option and ride open faced.

I wanted to surprise my husband with this helmet, because he has been talking about this for 2yrs. He has been accessorizing his motorcycle first. So, This is my gift to him. Thank you so much.

Needed a modular that I could afford. This one has great reviews, and Anthony's video demo was of course a factor.
Rich H on Sep 14, 2014
Recommendations on Google. Watched video demo, and I wanted a 3/4 helmet in yellow.
Denise T on Sep 14, 2014
Already have one - great fit at good price - third of the price of Schuberth but definitely better than 3 out of 10 more like 8.
Graham W on Sep 14, 2014
Your great video review is what moved me to choose Revzilla. Nice work and thankyou.
Kurt H on Sep 8, 2014
I was undecided on a full face or an open face. I never owned a full face and if I don't like it I can use the open face. I am a big fan of scorpion's. Me and my wife took a 3 day ride last week and our helmets just didn't fit right. I ended up giving her my scorpion it fit her better than myself and needed to purchase a new lid. If the wife likes this design she will get a new lid too. We both own a scorpion x0 from 3 years ago.
Biill S on Jul 8, 2014

Features, Price, & I already own a Scorpion Half helmet & like the way they fit my skull
Doug R on Apr 20, 2014
Haven't ridden in the last 10 years, so there's been a ton of advances in helmets. This helmet had the look and features I wanted. Was about $50 more than I wanted to pay, but I feel I'm getting my moneys worth. If it don't work out I'll let you know.
Wayne K on Apr 2, 2014
Good rating/review, at the right price.
Paul M on Mar 7, 2014
Chose this because I already had one like it and loved it. My wife had another helmet and wanted one like mine. She loves it. Quiet and comfortable.
Hyland C on Feb 24, 2014
I have owned this helmet in he past, needed to replace it. Was real glad I had it on at the time, it was / is a great helmet.
T O on Feb 2, 2014
My emphasis was on comfort, low noise levels and visibility. After extensive online research I selected the schubert C3 Pro but it was not available, besides I find German companies to be rather arrogant. I thought an inflatable collar was a great idea to reduce wind noise

The rating and the consumer satisfaction was excellent. My son also liked the quickwik mesh that can be washed and the air tech option. Ans finally because it has such a great venting system and safety rating.
Jenny L on Aug 22, 2013
Wanted a helmet with high visibility and this bright yellow did the job. We are always getting responses from people about how visible we are on the road. The venting is not the best, but its ok. We've rode with the helmets on 2 trips of 7000 miles and the helmet is still a little tight around the cheeks, but you get use to it after a half hour. Would buy again.
Bill S on Aug 14, 2013
i wanted a modular helmet for it's flexability in all seasons. this seemed to be the best buy with all the features i like included. I find Anthony's video reviews informative and thorough on all their equipment. I look forward to future purchases with revzilla, They are a cut above the rest of the competition.

I have a transformer style helmet from another brand. I find it to be excessively loud. It caused me to buy $60 earplugs that only help a little. Even when it is fully closed up, the wind thumping against my ears is terrible, so I don't wear it anymore.

How loud do you find the EXO900 ?
A shopper on Nov 17, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The wind noise around the visor attachment area is excessively loud. You need earplugs and even then it gets unbearable on long rides (8+ hours). I am going back to full face non-modular helmet. As much as I will miss the transformable aspects, the wind noise is just too much for me. If I duck completely down behind my windscreen, the noise level is wonderful, but then my back hurts after a while. If I sit normally, or even stand up completely above the wind screen, the wind noise level is just simply not bearable for me.
The video description says at 5:36 that this helmet comes "with the Peak", "not an extra purchase"
But the product description says, "Open face peak visor sold separately."
They contradict each other.
So which is it?
Does the purchase of the helmet include the Full face visor peak or not?
A shopper on Sep 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The helmet is a transformer. It is full-face with visor and sun shade. The lower section of the helmet can be removed converting it to a 3/4 helmet, and the peak/small bill can be installed. That attachment comes with the purchase. You sacrifice the clear, full visor, but the sun shield is still available. Of course, you can purchase different tints for the sun shield that are easily installed. It's a great helmet. Flexible and adapatable for different riding situations and different weather.
I had a HJC CL16 and am looking for a modular helmet. The Scorpion helmet interests me but not sure about the fit.
A shopper on May 2, 2011
BEST ANSWER: Scorpion helmets can fit on the smaller side, so be sure to check out the size chart before ordering. Also, any modular helmet will fit rather round - which is comparable to how HJC helmets fit.
Specifically, is there a Pinlock Max Vision shield available for this helmet?
A shopper on Feb 6, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Pretty sure they would day their anti-fog coating would obviate the need for the pinlock. Only had mine for a couple of days and 2500 miles, with unfortunately no rain... Had a pinlock on my Shoei but always seemed to have the wrong screen in place...
Can I use this helmet with Cardo G4 system?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Yes. The clamp will fit, Scorpion left a gap. In the helmet pictures, there's a small panel just below the wearer's left ear: just below THAT, at the rim, they've provided a gap for a Bluetooth headset's clamp. The boom might be a tad long, but you can work with that: too short would be a show-stopper.
how do these fit compared to shoei neotec?
Elliot Y on Sep 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: You need to get two sizes larger than you normally wear. Other than that these are outstanding helmets. I hope this helped.
The helmet was gives me a sore jaw in the closed position, I bought a large liner to see if that would help, thinking the liner would be thinner, but the problem persists. Are the cheek pieces different sizes from M/L?
My next option is to try the XL check piece and neck liner.
My question is will the XL liner/cheekpads fit the M/L shell.
A shopper on Feb 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The answer here is simple and I had the same problem. I did recommend that revzilla make this correction prior to selling this helmet. They RUN TWO SIZES smaller than they really are. If you wear a medium you need an extra large and so forth. Revzilla really could prevent this problem but have chosen to neglect it. They cost me for the return on the helmets and I believe it is due to their neglect to correcting this oversight. However once you do get the correct size its an awesome helmet.
Hi, I have the Scorpion EXO-900 Transformer Helmet and would like to attach a SENA TECHNOLOGIES SMH10D Bluetooth headset. Will this unit work with this helmet? Thank you, Lloyd
A shopper on Sep 29, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have the helmet and the same headset. Works very well. Steve
Are there any tear-off's that fit this visor or a universal one that will fit? I have found them for other scorpion models but not this one.
