The Scorpion 1000 series helmets are great, replacing the shield every 10k miles seems about right
I like Scorpion products a lot. They have literally saved my head in a crash and I think they give a good bang for the buck. The only two downsides are weight and I've aways had trouble keeping the anti-fog layer from not getting scratched or messed up... but, that usually doesn't happen until the outside of the visor is tired too. Revzilla rocks, I ordered my replacement shields and barely had enough time to get out to the mailbox before they arrived.

Bought this for day time riding. Nice tint to it, i like the chrome look on a flat black helmet.

Women's Ruby EXO-1100 Shield Review
I bought this for my wife by her request, and she has had nothing but compliments on how nice the "Ruby" color looks on her helmet. She has Facebooked, Instagrammed, G+, and a million others on how much she is in love with the Helmet + Shield combination.

Looks good but quality is kind of poor
The visor looks as I would expect. The visibility with the dark tint is good, even in low light situations.
My beef is with the quality. The lever to crack the visor doesnt keep the visor cracked and I have to use two hands to get it to open correctly. The stock visor has no issues with either of these things, at all.
I also notice a bit of fog near the bottom of the visor where the stock visor never fogs.. even a little bit.
Overall, it looks good and does what its supposed to, for the most part. The quality is not as good as the OEM piece, though I wouldnt balk at buying based on these small negative things.

Nice shield
I was looking for a cool, tinted replacement shield for my Scorpion EXO-1000. Even though this helmet has a drop down sun visor I wanted to something to change the look. After my first ride into some sun I noticed a big difference in clarity between the drop down shade and my light smoke shield. I don’t think I’ll be riding this shield and night but during the day I prefer to use the smoked one. I’m glad I purchased this shield.

Wanna look like Samus Aran?
I’ve had this shield on for a few days and I have had to take it off. It’s just tinted too dark to use if you have to drive at dusk or night time. I will have to save it for sunny day rides.
I really like my helmet and all but it’s a pain in the butt to change face shields on it. I always worry I’m going to snap something. The bang for the buck question is misleading. I think this is a nice face shield and I like my helmet but if I could do it over again I’d have a different helmet and a different face shield. Kinda stuck with the helmet so I got this shield. I’ll rock it till it breaks/deteriorates/or I just can’t stand it no more.
Take care of the glazing on the front if you get the mirrored one. It’s the one I’ve got and after about 40 miles I already see some little blemishes in the coating.

Very good face shield
I ordered this for my Exo-1100. How much can you say about a face shield? It's an excellent face shield in terms of the following:
- The smoke is dark enough for maximum sunlight shielding, yet extremely easy to see through in low-light situations.
- Attaching and detaching takes 1 second thanks to the Scorpion Quick Release system.
- The 3 position lock (normal, locked, cracked) does exactly what it's meant to, and can be easily operated with gloves.
- It's very durable and cleans up easily. Seems relatively scratch resistant.
I'm happy with Scorpion's face shields in general. (I also have clear and gold mirrored). If I had any criticism at all, it would be with the rather strong detents as you raise and lower the shield. That's a function of the quick release system, however, and not the face shield itself. I feel it should be smoother, with a larger number of increments.
Revzilla service and delivery, as usual, was excellent.
