A must have for any Exo helmet! The helmets come with a light smoke sun visor which only provide a slight amount of sun protection. I purchased the dark smoke replacement sun visor and couldn't be happier! It's way cheaper than buying a dark smoke external visor and it's always there when you need it! No need to change out your visor each time the weather changes! Great buy! A must have! May 30, 2013
Much better then the light smoke When I first got the EXO 1100 my only complaint was the sun visor didn't really do a lot. I ordered the dark smoke and now the helmet is perfect. I would definitely suggest getting this new visor if your getting the helmet. Instillation is pretty easy, just got to push a little harder then I'd like to pop the old one off. April 29, 2013
Not super dark, but gets the job done The internal visor on my Exo-1100 is amazing. I commute, so I can't always change the visor mid-day. I bought a dark smoke visor, but it wasn't dark enough for my tastes because my eyes can be very sensitive to light. With a light smoke external visor, it allows me to still see well at night, while the combination of the light smoke and dark smoke internal visor provides excellent sunlight protection! Definitely better than the "light smoke" Bought this because the lighter one that came with the helmet didn't really do much, especially if riding west in the evening. This one is about equivalent to wearing normal sunglasses. It also actually looks a little better than the light smoke one too...kind of how lightly tinted glasses look slightly weirder than regular dark sunglasses. July 29, 2012
Works the way it should This really should be the default visor for their helmets. Provides excellent protection from the sun. Was also very easy to install. July 2, 2012
Improvement over stock visor The visor that came with my Exo-500 was way too light for my taste. Ordered and installed this one and it makes a big difference. Riding into the sun still requires a pair of sunglasses on in addition to the visor though. I wish Scorpion made one just a wee bit darker than this. June 26, 2012

Answer: 
I would call it Dark Smoke. I have a replacement shield on my helmet that was labeled light smoke; the internal visor is definitely darker than that.
