wish it was darker this is subtly darker than stock, but noticibly so. when paired with the light smoke face shield provides good sun protection. i wish there was a darker option. July 2, 2014
Darker than what comes in the EXO-1000 I was in search of something a little darker than the original sun shield that came in my EXO-1000, but I did not necessarily want to purchase an entire tinted face shield. Enter a darker internal shield. The installation was fairly straight forward although the side opposite of the operating lever did get a little bit sloppy causing the shield to not retract fully on that side. After a bit of messing with it, removing it and installing it I finally got things back to the way they should be. The shield, in my opinion, could be even darker but it is a definite improvement over the previous shield. Revzilla as usual carries the best inventory and prices! June 2, 2014
Darker than the original, but not as dark as I thought. Once again Revzilla sent this order very quickly. I ordered these dark smoke shades because I thought they would be darker than the original(s) that came with the scorpion exo helmet, but they are not as dark as I thought. I have ordered the dark smoke face shield as suggested by someone in another post. Hopefully that will work a little better. The only issue I had was replacing the shades for the first time. It is said that removing the shades are easy. This is not true if it is your first time. It is a bit tricky, however, once you have figured it out it is fairly easy. I suggest that you watch a youtube video on how to remove the shades if you have never done it before so that you do not break the clips that hold the shades in place. The instructions that come with the helmet showing you how to remove the shades are a little bit wrong as compared with what you see on the youtube video. Other than that I would recommend these shades to anyone who lives in a very sunny place or on an island like I do here on Okinawa and have to ride in the bright sun. (Of course when it is not raining) Every little bit helps I say. May 26, 2014
same as what came with helmet i would of like shade to be darker tint but it is not. it is the same tint that came with helmet. April 15, 2014
dark better and darker than the original one which doesnt help much April 14, 2014
Very good purchase This is definitely a must and a very nice upgrade to the almost clear visor that comes with the helmet. Great price too November 20, 2013
as advertised paired a light smoke outer visor, with a dark smoke inner visor for the perfect combo. still light enough to see at night, with the dark visor available when riding into the sun. November 9, 2013
same or close to the stock internal sun visor I thought the dark smoke would be darker than the stock sun visor that comes with the EXO-1100 helmet. It's exactly the same shade. If you want a good protection from bright morning or late afternoon sun glare, replace the main visor with dark smoke and activate your internal sun visor. I lived in Southern Cal and that combination works for me. I wish Scorpion would make really dark internal visor. If I ride night, I'll leave the house with the clear shade for main visor. Pamela K: I wanted a little darker inner shield for my Scorpion Presciosa . I also got a light smoke outer shield . This combination allows me to go without my sunglasses but I have yet to do that . It is very easy to replace . Love it. Mar 31, 2014
Brian L: Works great combined with the light smoke external visor. Mar 20, 2014
Marvin D: I chose the darker shade because I live in Phoenix and the lighter one would be useless. They need to come with a choice of shades so that you don't have to pay extra to get the shade that is suitable for your region, have you been to Phoenix and noticed the amount of sun we try to endure, DUH Oct 27, 2013

Lorenzo S: Revzilla customer service told me that the helmet sometimes comes with the dark smoke visor installed. Bummer for me as I learned this the hard way. I purchased the dark smoke because the helmet's visor was too light, only to discover the helmet's visor was the exact same shade as the replacement "dark" smoke visor. Sep 16, 2013

Julia W: My stock visor appears to be the darker one as well, but I'd like to know if there's a way to tell definitively, like a code on the visor or something. If the one for sale really is darker than the one I have, I'd like to get it, but I don't want to pay $7.45 to ship back a $19.99 item after finding out the hard way that I already have the darkest option available. Thanks. Nov 19, 2013

Joseph V: I would call it Dark Smoke. I have a replacement shield on my helmet that was labeled light smoke; the internal visor is definitely darker than that. Sep 2, 2012

Charles G: I'm not sure if they are or not. Have you tried the Scorpion web site? In any case, I have only installed this in place of my light smoke that originally came with the helmet. As we are still getting snow here in OKLA. the first part of March, I have yet to try the darker smoke yet. Mar 2, 2014
