These boots are very sturdy, but a little clunky too. Steel shank makes it a little hard to walk in. If you are looking for a very hardy boot, this is a good choice. They run a little big. Order down a half size. Nice grip on the bottom. Steel shank makes the boot stiff and a little uncomfortable if you have to walk very far. June 10, 2013

We do have the 8.5 currently in stock and River Road is a wider fitting brand. These should work for you, but if they don't you can always send them back for full refund to your card.
