PowerTye Adjustable Cargo Net

Most cargo nets feature a wide 3" x 3" mesh that can cause smaller items to dislodge. The PowerTye Cargo Net features a dense 2" x 2" web to ensure your cargo stays put. In addition to the tight weave, the PowerTye net also features repositionable hooks so you can truly tailor this cargo net to fit your cargo.

Features:

  • 6 removable plastic hooks
  • To tighten, pull inner cord over additional hook
  • 15" x 15" unstretched
  • ~30" x 30" stretched

Note: Helmet and luggage rack sold separately.

A must have carry along
I bought this with the intention of having it "just in case". That proved to be more true than I could have ever known at the time. I was stranded in the New Jersey Pine Barrens after my Hog broke down. I had almost given up hope when I remembered that I had the WPS Adjustable Cargo Net. I was able to fashion a rudimentary squirrel trap which allowed me to survive. I didn't eat the squirrels (they're high in cholesterol) but trained them to do tricks which entertained me until the tow truck came. Obvious lesson; stay out of New Jersey.

Good, basic cargo net
Exactly what one would expect from a cargo net with plastic hooks. If that's what you want, this product is a good choice.

I could not possibly complain! This cargo net is awesome. I've demanded so much more from it than it deserves, and it (somehow!) holds on for dear life. I never leave home without it.

I always keep this net tucked under my seat with my tool case. You never know when you're going to need to strap something to your seat so you can bring home a trophy from your morning ride!

Surprisingly Good
I am amazed that there are so many features to write about on a simple cargo net. First of all, the mesh design is smaller than most other nets. This makes it more secure for smaller items, easier to align for items of all sizes, as well as easier to adjust the hook positions and hook tension.

Adjustable hooks are another nice feature. I now wonder why this is not the norm. I now see no reason why the hooks of a cargo net should be fixed. One does not need them on the same spots in every occasion. The size and shape of the cargo varies so why the hooks should be fixed?

And finally, the sub-hooks! The hooks have sub-hooks that allow even further adjustments and tightening options. I have no doubt that whoever designed this cargo net is a cyclist or motorcyclist. He/she knows what a rider needs when it comes to a cargo net. When buying this one, I was not aware that a simple cargo net could be so feature laden and so well thought-of. I am very happy to have learned.

I cannot comment on durability though. I have no idea on the properties of the plastic material that is used for the ingeniously shaped hooks. I don't know how much tension they would tolerate and how resistant they are to the sun for how long. Only time will tell. However, unless they break or crack unexpectedly soon, I wouldn't buy to a conventional cargo net to replace this one. I mean; if the hooks are durable, there is no replacement for this net IMO.

Nothing fancy, but it works.
This thing is great for the price. At first I was a little skeptical as I imagined all my stuff strewn across the trail as it slowly fell out through the holes. The netting is tight enough that I haven't lost anything yet. My only gripe would be that the hooks feel a bit cheap. I haven't broke any of them yet, but just be aware they're only plastic.

Great Product
I purchased this net to use for securing bags and helmets to my cargo rack. It is well made. I appreciate the fact that the size of the gaps in the net a fairly small (about 2" - unstretched). This helps keep things from slipping through the net when it is stretched. The hooks allow for easy adjustments.

Perfect for my bike
I have a Suzuki GS500F and there are screws on the bike that are perfect hooks for this cargo net. I keep my high heels under there for when I ride at night but still want to look good when I get off the bike! This cargo net is cheap and works great for me.

I have one, and wanted another for the other bike - they work fantastic. The flexibility is great to adjust the hooks and bungee tension. Plus the hooks are plastic vs. metal to avoid scratching.

Mark D on May 25, 2015
Because I needed a cargo net with adjustable hook points rather than fixed ones. Also, this cargo net seems to have smaller gaps in the net than the ones I am used to. This makes it more secure for smaller items. Finally, the blue color will match my bike.

justin h on Jul 17, 2014
When choosing a cargo net, I ultimately chose one with plastic hooks. The metal hooks that come with the other nets have plastic tips on the endâ?¦ which will invariably come off and potentially scratch your bike and potentially sharp enough to cut/rip items like a jacket or shirt that you might be trying to secure to your bike.
Thomas B on Jul 13, 2014
plastic hooks, high rate

How do you adjust this to different sizes?
A shopper on Mar 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Adjustment is as simple as moving the hook to a new location on the net. The hooks pop off and can be reattached anywhere on the net.
