Olympia airglide 2

This pants are very good looking and have lots of deep pockets. I wish that they had heavier duty armor in the knees and hips. It would be nice if Olympia sold heavy duty armor as an option.

The pants are not too hot until the temperature exceeds 80°F as long as you are moving faster than 5 mph.

The insulation was effective down to at least 30°F. I have not had an opportunity to test the waterproofness yet.

Great product and service too!

I had red about RevZilla and how they carry only quality products. I ordered and was quite happy about both the product and service. The pants are very comfortable and very easy to put on and take off. I have ridden with them in 30 degree F temps in the morning and up to in the 70's riding home. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

Great pants!

Great value for a pant with a waterproof liner and good looking with reflective silver piping on side. I bought one size larger simply because of inseam length for a taller person. They claim to be generous on their inseam length and they are, but being 6'6" and usually 36" inseam, the longer the better. These were the only pant that had the length. Great styling and versatility.

Just about right

Olympia is quite a company with great products.
Not only do these pants fit as they should with the perceived protection (I've not dumped with them on) I require, their jackets - Bonneville and Air 2 connect with a long zipper at the back with the pants making a protective combination.

They fit true to size and the knee guards adjust to fit.

Nice Fit

I like the Air Glide fit. Even without the insulated liner the pants are not baggy like many others. After 18,000 miles over the last 18 months the mesh fabric has a bit of fuzz to it. But, the seams, fastners and zippers all still work and the pants are almost too warm till your in the low 40's. The insulated liner keeps you warm and dry. My silver version has been my favorite mesh pants. I would purchase another.

Olympia Airglide 2 Over Pants - Size 34

Purchased these pants with Olympia Viper Mesh Tech jacket. I wear size 34 street pants with 30" inseam. I originally ordered the size 36 Airglide 2 over pants figuring if I'm wearing them over jeans, PLUS the occasional thermal liner, then I'd need some extra room. Well, the 36 was waaay too long for my short 30" inseam. I'd need to have them hemmed about 6". Plus, the waist was too loose even over jeans and liner... to the point of needing a belt. So, I checked with Revzilla and got a RA number and exchanged for a size 34. Got those today (two day shipment), and they fit great. Kudos to Revzilla's return policy... as long as you don't mess up the product, it can be returned.

With liner in and over jeans, the Airglide 2s are a "little" snug, but that will be a good thing when its cold enough to have all those layers on. With just the mesh "over pants" and jeans, its perfect. There are stretch panels on the sides that allow for extra room for a comfortable fit at the waist, OVER jeans or dress pants. Very nice. The quality of the pants is very good IMO. The zippers are flat against the fabric, and zip well. There are two snaps at the front, which assure a solid fitment. The zippered front pockets are deep enough to fit a wallet or cell phone. Nice zipper tabs that can be gripped with gloves on. The velcro strips at the bottom of the legs assure a good seal over boots. For me, I won't need to hem the 34s, as the length is perfect when seated on my Ducati S4. While riding, there is no flapping, and the reflective piping provides very good visibility.

The mesh panels between knee and front thigh do breathe, and over jeans you can still feel the breeze when moving. When stopped, the (black in my case) fabric will heat up after a few minutes, but its not intolerable. The foot-to-hip side zippers are great! This makes getting in and out a 30 second task. The knee armor is adjustable with velcro strips inside the armor pockets, as well as a double velcro strip to keep the pocket closed. The armor fits snug enough to where I don't feel it will completely roll to the side if I take a tumble. The hip pads are minimal, but are better than nothing. Like the Viper jacket, the internal mesh lining is smooth and soft. Very nice quality. Time will tell as for long term quality.

The waterproof thermal liner can be worn as a separate over pant. Note for us guys - there is no fly zipper - only a velcro strip that closes a solid panel that will keep out rain and cold air. Pretty slick. The liner also has foot-to-hip side zippers for easy in and out. And a velcro strip to seal the cuff. There are also three velcro straps at the waist to help keep the liner attached to the outer shell. Straps also at the bottom.

To round this purchase out - I can also use these pants with my Tour Master jacket - the 8" back zipper matches perfectly.

Expected better armor in knees and hips

Because I could not find a pair Four Seasons pants anywhere I paid more for these pants. They look good and fit well but I am really disappointed with the knee and hip armor provided. With what I had to pay for these pants I did not think I would need to replace with better armor. The knee armor does not stay where it need to be. Maybe with better armor this won’t be a problem. Also, hemming the length of the pants was not as easy as advertised. We should expect to pay less for these pants or get more.

Using them more than I thought I would

I bought these pants along with the Airglide 2 jacket thinking I'd use them every so often on longer rides or nasty weather but they are so comfortable and easy to put on and off that I'm using them pretty much all the time.

The weather hasn't been cold or wet enough to use the liner and the pants themselves are very breathable--not hot. So why wear them? They are much more comfortable than jeans flapping in the wind and there's the padding just in case of an unplanned dismount.

By the way I got the silver pants and the neon jacket because I didn't want to cook in the L.A. sun with black pants. I thought it might not look "stylish" but it actually makes for a good match.
