Glorified spandex Thought these would be good for my morning commute when the temp is usually around 35-50 degrees, but on the first commute I was just as cold as I was without them. not very warm at all. Fit is accurate. If you really want to stay warm, spend the money on a better brand and product. I actually have been using my REI long underwear and they are toasty! December 30, 2013
Warm! -comfortable -low price point -decent quality, not poor but not outstanding -doesn't irritate skin -these plus jeans, textile jacket, hoodie, and gloves keeps me warm and comfortable for 40 mile rides in 25-40 degree weather on a Harley XR1200 ( so lots of wind exposure) March 13, 2013
Ankles a bit baggy, but otherwise fit great I tried another brand of base layer pants first, but they were a bit baggy in the ankles, knees, and seat. Exchange them for this pair, which fit almost perfect. Ankles are still a *bit* loose, but not a deal breaker. I got size large both times. I am 6'3", about 220 pounds, with a 34" waist and 34" inseam. Very comfortable. Looking forward to seeing if they help me feel cooler next summer. By the time I exchanged the original pair, the hottest weather here had passed. They still feel good under my mesh riding pants, though. October 17, 2011

A shopper asked: do these base layer pants have seems in the rear, looking forseamless because seams create pressure point on long days Jan 30, 2012

RevZilla: These pants do have seams on the backside. Specifically, "one for each cheek," if you know what we mean. If you are looking for a pair of base-layer pants with a seamless posterior, then we recommend looking at the REV'IT! Glacier Pants or Klim Aggressor Pants (the Aggressors do have a seam but not in a place on which one would sit). May 3, 2012

Yadba: As the previous answer indicates, they do have seams. But they are extremely FLAT ones, and I can't imagine they would be problematic. However, I have not taken any extended rides in them. May 9, 2012

A shopper asked: I'm in a 50L Rev-It Gear pant. The MSR is going on a gift list Nov 2, 2011

Yadba: I can't find a size chart on either or, but I have these MSR Base Layer Long Skins in size (L)arge, and can tell you what I know.

The elastic waistband of my size L measures 31" in its fully relaxed state. I have a 34" waist, and the skins are very comfortable.

The inseam measures about 30", also in the relaxed state. I usually wear 34" inseam (Levi's 501s).

But these skins are very stretchy, and they should fit snug against your skin.

According to the Rev-It Gear Pant size chart, your size 50 has a 34.6-35.8 inch waist. That same chart would place me in a size 48, which has a 33.1-34.3 inch waist.

Based on all of that, you might want a size XL in the MSR Base Layer Long Skins.

Xeones25: Sizing seems to be the same as it is for briefs and boxer briefs. I wear a 32 waist and wear size M boxer briefs and size M in these fit similarly.
If my understanding is correct, 50 is waist size? Looks like that is 3XL for Rev-It and these. I don't think they sell 3XL. XXL is 44-46 in.
