Moose Racing Expedition Saddlebags 5 5 1 1

Moose saddlebags on a KLR650 I installed them on my KLR 650... there aren't a lot of options due to the strange arrangement of the KLR, so I fabbed my own upper straps (heavy 1" wide web strapping) that were then bolted beneath cooper straps (used for an over the seat bag setup) and then bolted right through middle of the bags into the side panels, using 2" fender washers and 10-32 stainless buttonheads with polylocks. The lower straps really had no where to go that would add stability to the bag. They are holding up well, one carries rain gear and the heated vest, the other holds a 1.5l fuel bottle, tubes, irons, mini compressor and patch kit. Just the right size to keep all the 'necesscities' on the bike at all times. Haven't managed a real rainstorm with them yet... so I won't comment on the water resistance. I like them... just the right size... March 5, 2012
