I've had these tires for ~7000 miles, and I should get another 3000 before I *need* to change them. I couldn't be happier. Aggregate traction on wet asphalt is impressive, especially considering its long tread-life. Hydroplane resistance is stellar, even at half worn. I ride primarily on road, and these tires are very stable to illegal speeds despite their blocky design.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The tire feels solid which gives me confidence in the corners and begs for higher speeds.
I have noticed some twitching when crossing cracks in the pavement but I think that is the result of an aggressive tread, deep cracks in the pavement, and speeds around 95-105 mph.
Good tire overall !

There are a lot of unknowns out there! Your tires should NOT be in that category!! I think it's best to spend the bucks and get the best you can buy. You're life is depending on it. I did a ton of research before choosing this set over some of the other well known competitors. And I feel like I made the right choice. These tires are very good. The road grip, wet or dry is amazing. The wear seems to be very good so far. Not any flat spotting. I don't do gnarly off-road riding, so I cannot comment there.

I am on my second set of the Anakee 2 Adventure Tires. I chose the "H" rated tire in anticipation of extended ware as I was planning an 8K mile trip (July 2011). I have logged 13K miles on the first set, and went to a track day on my R1200GS on the second set. I could not ask for more. I'm very satisfied with this tire :-).

These tires are confidence inspiring, since there mounting about 30 days ago it has rained, snowed, and iced up a bit in New England. I took my knobbies off for the winter and had the choice of remounting the OEM Metzlers (~2,500miles) but opted for these tires. They shed water like a tin roof and are sticky in the cold. Mud clears the tread well considering 90%+ focus on street, I wouldn’t suggest these tires for riders with high percentage of mud and off road riding. These are great tires if spend the majority of your time on pavement, gravel, dirt, and sporadic water and mud.

I changed from knobbies and expected a quieter ride, but guess what, it was just as noisy but in a slightly different way. They are good compromise tires in that they do relatively well in dirt and the same on pavement, but as with most things that are supposed to do many things well, they don't, quite as well as dedicated tires to dirt or pavement.

Answer:
'H' and 'V' are speed ratings, of which 'V' is the higher. The 'R' stands for radius in reference to the tire/wheel size.
