I was shocked when the tires I switched to only lasted 6000 miles. I was also shocked with the lack of feel and grip with these other tires. Imagine, only 4 miles after the install and I was smiling ear to ear - the Metzler tires provided the grip, feel, and security I have been missing for a long time. It is great to have them back on my bike.

These tires came as original equipment on my K1300GT (sport touring bike). I always felt confident in the tires, not that I push the bike all that hard... at 160hp you don't need to. I bought a pair to replace the originals, I am just over 7500 miles and started to see a little bit of steel belt on the rear tire. The only downside is that the tread pattern does not cross the center of the tire, so its hard to tell when you are near the end of the useful life.
