Metzeler Sportec M3 Supersport Rear Tires
Great for the price
This was OE from purchase date. This tire needs to be warmed up before serious rides. Not a cold weather tire until warm. Wet traction fine, but I wouldn't hang it out. Not a long life tire for touring bikes. BMW K1300s great single rider hot days mountain roads of Colorado tire !!! Fantastic. Took a trip to souther CO sigle rider 225lbs me + 200lbs gear & luggage 1K miles & you could see the difference in tread wear after the ride was done. From slow town cruise, normal highway speeds to Hyper sport speeds thru desert country performed well. There are better all around tires out there, but these are still available and a great value for the money. Revzilla shipped with no issue. Chop chop. (Great article in BMW owner news!!)

Worth it on a budget
First time ordering a tire through Revzilla because the tire prices dropped below motorcycle-superstore, which i thought was great. Always enjoyed the helpful review videos that go with some of the available products and now had an oppurtunity to order (wanted the Shoei rf1100 but when it went on sale, they didn't have size and color I wanted which makes sense, new model was out and stock was running thin). Also, I ordered the tire expecting to get it the next week. I got it the next day, best shipping so far.
I've done enough miles on my bike now to have used the stock dunlops, pilot pures, pilot power, 2ct's, m5 and now the m3 because of a budget pinch when i was looking at prices. I would normally prefer a dual compound because I like the idea of a longer life on the center strip when doing highway commutes.
That said, the M3 works well for the price, which was a really decent deal at the time. Took about 150-200 miles for the mold lines from manufacturing to wear off and traction feels decent, again for the price and compared to newer model compounds. I'm getting close to 500 miles on the rear and about 440 on the front M3 which has included 60-80 miles in colder New England rain, which compared to my experience with tires in rain down in FL, the M3 is not a bad choice.
I would say to get the M5 d-spec if you can, but if you've got a budget constraint at the moment, the M3 is not a bad choice.

Good for the price
Bought this with the rear so I don't need to mirror too much of what I said on the review for the rear. Like any new front it feels weird for about 100 miles (not dangerous, just weird) until it stops feeling like it's carving its own path. Used it for about 60-80 miles in the rain and no problems felt.
Mechanic had a little trouble putting it on the rim because he said the rubber was harder, but also said that it was a good thing. Would explain the good feedback feel I get from the front.
Also i enjoyed the delivery process. Ordered it and then received it the following morning. Pretty sure the physical site is a few states away and tires go by ground shipping, but I don't mind having orders delivered by a mystery F1 car.
If you want a Metzeler for good sport riding I would say get a D-spec M5 tire, but when money is tight the M3 is still a good choice.

all in all a A- needs beter tread life only con
has great grip in all conditions, seems to need a few weights to be properly balanced but could be the mounters inexperience.

Great all around tire
Had this tire a month now and already put 1k miles on it. My zx6r is my daily commuter with weekend twisties. I've been rain so heavy that I could barely see the car in front of me, yet the tire does a decent job gripping with confidence and predictably. Tire looks kinda new with NO flat spot yet, approx 900 miles straight line. Maybe my imagination but this tire gives me more confidence then my Michelin 2ct and seems to dip in the corners better. Will post another review around the 3k mark or when a flat spot develops.

I brought a gsf1200 with these tires on them brand new and this bike has alot or torque and these tires are very un predictable when trying to wheelie. on day it will burn out next day it will pop you up easy, it too moody. the wet traction is ok ive never been the one to lean heavy in the rain. the straight away traction lacks and if your in a heavy lean the back end feels like it wants to shoot you straight again so dont try dragging knee. if you dont ride hard and just want to cruise they are good for that but hard riding (130mph back road twisties) dont put yourself in that position. also after a while the ride gets very hard on these tires. i plan on going with the new m5 which i have used on a friends bike feels like your on a newly paved road.

Switched from Pilot Power 2CT...WISH I HADN'T!!!
The profile of this tire results in MUCH lazier front end response. It had made my nimble, super-flickable (with pilot powers onboard) SV650s feel like a late 90s 1000cc leadsled. I cannot complain about the grip as of yet, I only have about 1000miles on the front and havent ever slid it, but I'm ordering another Pilot Power (this time the Pure) for the front and this one is going to sit in the garage as a spare, I CANT STAND THE SHAPE of this tire. Also the M3 i received appears to have a defect, it puts a shake into my handlebars at high speeds as well as under braking at ALL speeds. I DONT RECOMMEND THESE TIRES!!!... PIck up a set of Pilot Powers... especially the Power 2cts.
