Desirable On Wet Roads I've had three sets of Lasertecs in three Vermont riding seasons on my K75. Their traction on wet, paved roads is excellent. I ride a 70/30 mix of hard-surface/well-maintained gravel roads. I'm not an aggressive rider. I can wring 6K to 8K miles from them but the tread depth is almost gone on the 8K side of that range. If my riding were only on paved roads maybe they'd last longer; however, I enjoy backroad riding, too. Their traction on gravel roads is decent but powering them through long stretches of mud seems like it would only be satisfying for self-abusers or those who like multiple-rep workouts dead-lifting their bikes. The wet paved-road handling of Lasertecs keeps me coming back to them. May 20, 2015
Great replacement tire for OEM I bought this to replace the ME33 Laser that came on my '05 T100 and it is an exact replacement. The tire has all of the same performance characteristics as the stock tire. Add to that a great price and free shipping and you cant go wrong. May 18, 2015
My favorite all-weather tires I ride a triumph bonneville most days to get around either to work or shopping. Performance in wet conditions is imperative to me, and these things perform very well, especially in the winter. Unless you're going to put on sticky tires in the summer for some hooliganism, these are the best tires you can buy. September 3, 2014
Good tire, but Tread life seems a bit short. Seems this is the OEM tire for my 93 BMW K1100LT, and it certainly rides well new. I find that I only get about 8 to 9K miles on them which means if you a serious commuter you likely be replacing these tires every year or 18 Months. September 29, 2014
Good, but not great. I have bought very cheap tires before and I have had some other name brands on my bike as well. So first, I don’t recommend the very cheap brand. Do buy a quality tire. These are quality tires, but they didn’t seem to be more than adequate. They were good on the road and in the wet. I didn’t have any problems with them. I got over 8000 miles with this on the rear of my bike, which is fine. But they cost a little more than some of the other quality brands available for my bike so I am trying something different since this one has lived its life. I have a different brand on the front of my bike and I love that tire but they don’t make the same tire in the size I need for the rear wheel. So I bought the Metzeler to try it out because I have read and heard good things about them. To me, it was a good tire but not great, and maybe that is just what some are looking for, but I will decide later if it is better than some of the other options available. I would recommend it, and would just like to see the price come down some. July 22, 2013
Good Performance with OEM Looks I've run Lasertechs on my airhead for years, I am happy with the look and feel of the tires, longevity/tread life could be better, but it has never bothered me much. August 5, 2013
Great tire for my vintage ride This is the second one I have had on my 78' BMW.. Tire last average wear... July 15, 2013
My first choice on 3 BMWs I now have these Metzler Lasertec tires on all 3 of my BMW bikes! What else can I say. For me this choice is a no brainer. July 2, 2012
