What a great bag! I have used this bag many times and all I can say is that it is well thought out.
First. the hard plastic insert and half shelf system worked great! It kept all the items organized and the cut out middle shelf helps with overstuffing so you can place that jacket liner in the full bag on warm days. The expandable top will easily handle a extra full sized helmet or 2 pairs of shoes or folds away if the space is not needed. The mounting system is versatile with multiple straps and D rings. There are 4 pockets on the sides 2 short and 2 longer ones good for maps, mobile phones and etc. As for the back rest mounting system it is compatible with Corbin’s wide backrest and can be wrapped or folded to fit smaller backrests.
The first year these were manufactured there was a problem with the plastic quality that affected the shelfs and clips for the strapping system. That problem seems to be resolved when I visited the manufacture’s booth at Myrtle Beach 2 years ago the quality seemed to be much improved.
