Great Ladies Jacket! I've had this for 2 years and it's been a great jacket! This is a non-perf jacket, so it blocks a lot of wind. There is an inner-liner that zips out which is good for summer use as well. The armour in this jacket is also great! It has a nice spine protector, and the elbow pads are great! Ladies, if you get this jacket MAKE SURE you button the elbow pads on the tightest one that feels comfortable for you, I had one spill and landed on the elbow which saved me but the padding slipped because it was too loose, so it kind of cut into my skin. The zippers are very good quality as well, and lots of pockets inside and out for storing your lipstick, wallet, iPhone, etc!! lol. The only thing I would say is that I bought the all black jacket, but I recommend something more Hi-Vis as it's better to be seen on the road!! Cheers:) November 12, 2011
Finally - A nice ladies jacket I bought an XL - so I could ad an additional sweater or jacket insulation under for cold days. I usually wear a 14 or L in everyday shirts or coats for loose / easy shoulder movement. Prior to this I have never found an armor MC jacket that fit nicely and was comfortable in all aspects. I do not want to look like a biker - hence would prefer it not to have the JR logos on the shoulders, but overall this jacket does not make me feel like a conspicuous nut in line at the grocery store. It is very nicely made, very comfortably cut, and is versatile in a surprisingly wide range of temperatures ( I've now ridden between 40F - 70F) Comes with a removable quilted vest liner, and I also add a full sleeve jacket liner from another coat when cold out. The CE shoulder and elbow armor is thick AND flexible and seems to sit tightly where it is suppose to. The back protector is thick / rigid foam - not CE but also not the soft flimsy junk some manufactures insert in the back protector pocket and then call 'armor'. I upgraded mine to the JR CE protector for an additional 80. which I feel was well worth the upgrade for comfort and protection. I tried a million different armor coats and this one is finally a winner. December 2, 2009

The 1D sizing is in-between a Joe Rocket's Womens XL and 2XL. Please refer to the size chart for this jacket for specific measurements.

Answer: 
No, the 1D is closer to a 16 and 2D = 18. The D is for 'Diva" and equates to the Women's sizes vs Misses in a department store. The 1D and 2D are cut very generously through the chest where many other brand of riding jackets may be too restrictive. I have the Joe Rocket Luna in a XL and find it a very comfortable jacket with room for an additional layer - I am not large chested but do have broad shoulders and typically wear a 14 in tops. The Luna jacket is one of the more feminine fitting armored jackets out there but the back protector is not adequate but can be easily upgraded - I purchased the super comfortable SaS-Tec back protector and just trimmed it with Xacto knife to fit in the Luna back pad pocket.

The 'D' in the Joe Rocket women's line stands for "Diva" which is the equivalent to Women's Plus sizing in a department store. I find the 1D to be about a 16 and 2D = 18. I do not wear the D but rather the regular XL which fits very nicely with comfortable chest and shoulder room - the D's are very roomy through the chest.
