Joe Rocket Women's Cleo Mesh Pants
My Go To Pants
These are really good pants. I'm 5'6", 125lbs and wear the Medium. In the summer, I wear just bike shorts underneath, in the winter, I wear a base layer (like thin long johns) and nylon pants under them with my rain pants over them if it's really cold.
I wore them every day for a month while riding the Trans-America Trail this past summer in temperatures ranging from 103° in Oklahoma to 39° in Colorado and they performed great! I would just vary the layers under or over them depending on the weather. They were cool in the heat and though not particularly warm in the cold, with a wind blocking layer over and warm layers under, they gave me the crash protection I wanted without having to bring additional riding pants that I didn't have room for in the panniers.
The protection is good with adjustable hip pads (they could be a little beefier) and height adjustable knee armor. The full length zippers on the outside of the legs are awesome and make getting in and out of them easy. There's also adjustable waist snaps.
I crashed several times on the trail and these held up great and protected as they should. Now if there had been a pad on the front thigh, maybe my charlie horse from the handle bar wouldn't have been so bad. lol
Overall, great pants.

Great summer pants
I love these pants! I've had them for several years and they are my go to pants for summer riding. Unfortunately I burned the knee this summer while helping a friend steady her bike in loose dirt. I am ordering a second pair because I like them so much!

Wanted to love (and wear) them
Seems like they would be a great pair of pants but at 5'6" and 135, I'm too large for a S and too small for a M. The 29.5" waist on the small came to about 1.5" below my 29" waistline/belly button, fit my legs and 37" hips/lack of rear end rather snugly but did not fit at the top without some uncomfortable muffin top action going on. The medium's 32" waist came up to my actual waist but were very baggy in the waist/hips/thighs. The zippers, mesh, removable hip/pelvic bone padding and construction seemed nice - the zippers are easily caught in the fabric next to them, though, and I think anything will make marks on this fabric. The snap adjustments in the waistline subtract .5" each at most. For shorter ladies, they look like they'd be somewhat easy to take up depending on how well you'd want the hems finished. The knee armor in both sizes hit at the right places when seated without adjustment.
$20 in return shipping bites a bit to learn this lesson after being advised that these pants run large (the small doesn't, the medium WAY does).
The inseam is 32", not 35".

I'm 5'7", ~145 lbs, with a smallish waist and a bit of a butt. I'm happy with the way the medium fit. The waist has 3 snaps to adjust fit, and all of them work for me depending on what I'm tucking into the top. There's enough room in the thighs/hips, and roomy in the knees as well. As far as style goes, I tried 3 pairs and picked these - they were a decent balance between formfitting, roomy, protective, and the skipants look. The hip padding is removable, as is the knee armor, which has 2 placements to choose from. Length is ok. I liked how these were full-zip pants - made it easy to get on over my usual bootcut jeans, and of course you could wear them over shorts. They are quite warm so I wouldn't want to wear them on a super hot day. In cooler weather, these alone, or these plus jeans would be great.
