the road melted these pants.
I went down at a little over 75 mph and slid straight down the road. The cement melted and ate all the way through the butt of these pants. I ended up with third degree abrasions on my rear, and a horrible scar. The money you save on these pants will be spent on increased hospital bills and bandaids.

Perfect for the tall gal
I like these because they're functional, but mostly because they're the only pants on the market with a 35" length. You can adjust them to 33" or 31", and they have a waterproof liner. The details make that a little unclear by calling them waterproof...the pants aren't but the zip out liner is.

I dinged them on comfort because they're cut for males as other reviewers have noted. When sitting, the front rides up and pulls in while the back gaps. If they changed that around, I'd give it a 5.

adventure pants
Wore these pants during a torrential downfall and was completely dried. The only thing is that it makes a lot of noise when you walk in them. These pants are also very heavy about 5lbs., otherwise very satisfied with the quality and value.

Totally Waterproof!
I've had these pants for 2 years, and they've been through snow, rain, and across the country! They are very warm and totally waterproof.

The inner liner is a nice thickness so when you zip it out it allows a decent amount of air-flow to comes in. This came in hand when we went from Canada to Arizona...big temp change!

The pants have a series of buttons at the bottom so you can tighten the pants around your boots, and they also have horizontal buttons to make the pants slightly shorter, which is nice because I found they a bit on the long side.

I am a size 26 waist and I bought a small which was a mistake, because they are a bit baggy...the XS would've fit much better. There are velcro tightening wraps at the waist which would be good if you're not sure if a Small or XSmall is best for you tho, or if you want to wear some thick pants or jeans under them.
I wear Lululemon pants under and I still find them a bit big.

Overall, these are excellent all-season pants, with nice protection in the knees, and soft protection around the hips. They've been very durable and I would definitely recommend them to any gal looking for textile pants that they can ride for miles in! These are not as abrasion-proof as a good leather pant, but depends what you want...if you want something more sporty/stylish, check out the Dainese lineup of leather 1 & 2Piece suits - very nice!! That's my next purchase:D

Cheers!

Fits true to size
I tried on many women's pants, but these fit the best and are true to size. Length is adjustable as well as knee pads. Very comfortable.

Lots of adjustable features and great for a petite gal.
These are great for adventure riding and the adjustable hem and armor makes the length and protective areas fit perfectly (even for one who is 5'1). On a hot day, simply unzip the sides where you may need more airflow, making these more breathable if needed. If it's raining or cooler, it's easy to leave in or add in the waterproof liner. The extra protection for the knees and hips are also easily removable, which is desirable. The style is also nice, with little flowers embroidered on them, but very subtle and hardly noticeable (so nothing cheesy).

Great Pants
This is my first pair of adventuring motorcycle pants. I really like all the adjustable features- especially the customizable hem. The pants are comfortable and provide protection of the knees and hips.

Great for the tall woman!
These are sturdy, well made pants with the longest inseam available (trust me.....). They adjust to 31, 33 & 35" with snaps at the bottom. Three kneepad pockets are available, but in the lowest, my pads still ride up a tad. I'm5'10.5/145 & get 35" inseams if I can get them on size or 8 pants.
I don't prefer the well-made but breathless plastic liner, so I use a gore-tex one from a pair of bmw pants when I need warmth or rain-proof gear. These will shed a light rain quite well, but will absorb the water if it really rains.
I like them and would recommend them.

I bought this to go with my Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0 jacket so the zippers would match. I also liked that this had hip padding in addition to the knee protectors, which not every pair of women's pants had.

Was able to try these on at a store. Feminine shaping. Higher waist that fit. Adjustable length and full zippers. Had all the details I was looking for and these pants fit the best of all that I tried (Scorpion and Tourmaster).

Was wondering about the fit of the pants. Do they generally run large/small? I am a 27.5 waist, 37.5 hip, and 29 inseam. Cannot decide between XS and S. Suggestions?
Ellen C on Apr 1, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi Ellen
These are a great pant, but do find they run small. I would advise order the larger size.
My pant inseam is 28", so would definitely want the shortest length.
A shopper on Oct 6, 2011
BEST ANSWER: On the inside of the hem of the Joe Rocket Women's Ballistic 7.0 Pants are 3 horizontal rows of snaps, one female set and two male sets. This allows you to fold in the hem to two different heights and snap it closed to customize the hem length. In addition, the height of the CE approved knee armor can be adjusted by choosing either the high or low armor pocket.
