More Than I Expected
It is an interesting journey working ones way through different products, makers, features, and functions. When I find a brand that seems to consistently fit me, I stay with it.
A lot of makers seem to size for European jockeys...they don't have beefy people over there? Joe Rocket sizes for me.
I am 6'0" and 215 lbs. I have some well earned gut. My Joe Rocket pants (size 2XL) fit great and so does this Joe Rocket jacket(also size 2XL). It is comfortable, flows a lot of air and holds a nice Joe Rocket insert for cooler weather. The standard issue back pad is a place holder only, but the shoulder and elbow armor is decent.
This is a great value, versatile jacket and highly recommended.

Great Jacket for Military Folks
Great jacket all around. Just wish the reflective materials were a little lighter as in the ICON backpack.

As my first Motorcycle jacket, I have to say that I chose extremely well. I get compliments on how it looks, the features of Joe Rocket jackets and the design they in-cooperate have made me a fan. Reflective material is a bonus, The 2 layer zipper system allows summer/ winter riding, its great for both; not to mention 2 zippers in the back . The adjustable waist straps (Velcro) and also belt straps in four places, although I only use the two back ones, it makes a huge difference. Adjustable wrist straps making a more snug fit. I also found it kept me dry when I get caught in the accidental rain. The Down side I found from wear and tear is the middle of arm to wrist reflective patches on both arms, they are creasing and showing tearing, but otherwise, I have had the jacket for 9 months and still love it.
For the Size, I wear Large, T-shirts. I am also broad shouldered and Have been loosing weight so I ordered an XL at the time. I can fit a Large hoodie inside this jacket now. I would say fitting is accurate to your shirt size.

Leonardo M: In a military community which requires reflective materials on the installation. This jacket meets the requirement. I don't have to wear a yellow reflective belt.Jul 2, 2014
A shopper asked:I seem to be between sizes: 42 chest; 34-35 waist; 34 sleeve (6'1", 190). Tried a large in a different Joe Rocket Model and seemed too big through the chest/shoulders (shoulder armor easy to move around)... but I'm afraid the medium sleeves would be too short... or that the jacket might be too small to layer under in colder weather. Any help?Aug 3, 2011
Chris K:You are pretty much correct in your assessment. A MD will most likely be too short and will not allow for layering underneath, however, the LG gives you a bit of extra chest room. I would consider looking at other brands like Dainese for a tall frame such as yours. Joe Rocket and Alpinestars both tend to run rather short.Aug 5, 2011
