Very good overall
So far I have taken these tires (front and rear) on asphalt, gravel, packed dirt and big rocks. After 1k miles the back is wearing a bit more than expected but there are no issues with grip on any surface. The wear on these tires so far is even (unlike my buddy's shinko tires). I ride a KLR650.

Great replacement for the kenda
Kenda has anounced that the k270 is not recomended for large dual sport motorcycles, so i chose to try out the IRC GP-1 on the front of my KLR650. I already run a GP-110 on the rear. I have been suprised at how well this tire tracks in the gravel and packed dirt. I also have had it in some wet forest floor trails and it hasn't let me down yet. It will pack with mud if you get into sticky stuff though. Highly recomend this tire as a replacement for the kenda.

Only brand that carried a front and back in the sizes I needed. I didn't want to mix brands.

I've run these tires on my KLX250 for years and loved them, both on and off road. I checked into a number of different options for tires for my KLR650 for a 70/30 road/offroad trip this summer, read reviews for days, and ultimately decided to go with what I already know. The soft rubber compound in these tires makes them very grippy, and the only time they ever feel squirrely on pavement is the first week while I break them in. Great tire for the money.

Is this considered a 50/50 tire?

My current tire is 90/90 21. Can someone explain only 2 number tire sizing? What is 300 21?
A shopper on Aug 8, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It's the difference between metric vs. standard/English. 90/90 metric converts to 2.75 or 3.00 English. Check out conversion charts on the web for more info or email/call Revzilla for help.
