I love this helmet. It's great looking and very light compared to my Nolan modular. Although, I do miss the ratchet chin strap.
I gave the large size cheek pads a few weeks of riding and they did break in a bit but I had to order mediums. I also picked up the RST silver proshield.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've put 3000 miles on this thing with the worst weather being medium rain.
When I first got this helmet I noticed that the box was pretty cool. They actually spent some time and money making some packaging that was cool and also protects their product. When you open up the box, the helmet comes in a helmet bag that can be used as a cloth to buff out your visor. There is also a pocket in the bag that you can store an extra visor in. Little things, but shows Icon cares about their product and I thought it was cool.
The helmet itself is constructed well. The weight is average, in my opinion, and I can't tell if it feels heavy in the front or back. It feels pretty balanced to me. The paint is done well, with flaws being very minor and hard to spot. The interior is great. The removable liner is comfortable and you can take it out and wash it.
I have mixed feelings about the visor and the attachment method. The visiblity out of the helmet is great, I don't feel like I have blind spots. There is a little tab on the lower right hand side to assist in opening. And there is a locking system that you can see on video review that you may or may not like. I don't understand why all of that is on the left hand side of the helmet. It would make more sense to me to put it on the right so I can work it at stop lights when I'm holding in my clutch. I bought the silver reflective shield and visibilty at night hasn't been an issue. My son bumped into my helmet while it was hanging on my passenger peg and the visor popped off at the right attachment point. I know it wasn't designed to take damaged like that, but seems like it should be made a little bit sturdier. There has been a lot of controversy about the shield attachment being too hard to use, but it hasn't been a problem for me and I don't understand why people are having issues. On foggy mornings visiblity can get bad if you aren't at speed. Standing still my shield fogs up, every morning.
The biggest problem that I have with this helmet is the noise levels. At highway speeds it can be defeaning. I don't know if it has something to do with my headshape and the cheek pads or what, but its loud. If I am riding at highway speeds I always wear earbud headphones. No amount of having the vents closed our open change the noise levels.
The airflow is exactly what Icon advertises. The vents all allow a lot of air in. There is very minimal buffeting or drag. They say that the spoiler on the back stabilizes the helmet. I don't notice my head being pulled into any position, so I can't tell if the technology works or not.
I wear in between a large and a medium. Went with the medium and I would say that these helmets run at the stated sizes.
The styling is great in my opinion and I get compliments all the time. Just wiping it off with your helmet bag or a soft cloth is easy and the chrome is new and shiny again.
This helmet is well worth the money, especially bought here through Revzilla with no shipping and sale price, no tax, plus store credit back. I don't think I would pay almost 400 for it, though.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Like others have mentioned, fitment was a little tight, esp. around the cheek areas in size small. The chrome styling with red graphics was a little too loud for my taste. So if you want a helmet that gets you noticed this helmet will be good for you. I ended up exchanging this helmet for a Shoei Qwest Helmet - Solid anthracite and am very glad I did because the Shoei was a better helmet in all aspect even though at a slightly higher cost but well worth the money. Compared to the Shoei Qwest, the Icon Airframe Claymore Chrome Helmet was very noticeable heavier and bulkier helmet. However at clearance price of $199 the Icon Airframe Chrome offers a lot of features for the price. Hope that helps.

Looks wise, its amazing. The chrome really shines and the whole helmet is sharp.
The fit is slightly small. It fits almost the same as my small Shoei.
The airflow is amazing and plentiful, it has a suprising low level of buffeting (even compared to my Shoei), and the liner is quite comfortable. The helmets features feel reasonably solid for a helmet of this price range, in my experience more expensive ones have the little details like a solid feeling chinstrap etc. The only feature that isn't so great is the visor clip on system, but once youre used to it it's not so bad.
Also, I dont know how they do it, but the anti-fog system deserves special mention. I'm used to having to buy attachments etc to keep the fog away but this helmet just does it. Somehow.
Get the right size and you can't go wrong with this bad boy. I look forward to crashing in it.

Great Helmet, a little tight

I wore an HJC in large, I measured my head on the icon chart and it measured as a large. I received the helmet and it is too small. The cheek pads are too tight and the helmet presses on my forehead until it aches. I had to order an XL liner and cheekpads on ebay to fix the issue. Consider purchasing a size larger.

The Dogs Bollocks

This helmet is the dogs bollocks, after lots of deliberation on the colour, I plumped for the green one with a green visor, the finish is out of this world, certainly has the WOW factor.
I ordered the 3XL as I bought a GMAX last year the same size. fits like a glove, slighty more snug than the GMAX, Visor is dark enough for bright sunlight but not too dark for riding at dawn or dusk. I would recomend the purchase of this helmet to anyone, at $360 "It's a steal"
