This face shield works great Perfect fit and not to dark for evening use. i would like to see it more scratch resistant. April 22, 2013
nice helmet overall i got the matte black. i like the fact that they kept the air flow openings in the same color scheme unlike last year they were silver. i also ordered the mirror replacement shield that i didnot like because i get to much reflection back when the visor is down and makes it hard to see especially in the sun December 10, 2012
Nice Shield I was riding with the clear shield and depending on the time an direction the sun was too much. These are definitely great but on cloudy days and near sundown it is dark. November 12, 2012
Good face shield I got the dark smoke face shield for my wife's helmet. She only rides as a passenger, so she doesn't need to worry about swapping shields out to adjust to changing light conditions and the darker shield gives her relief from sunlight on bright days. It wasn't a super value at the price we got it at, but it wasn't terribly expensive either. November 5, 2012

Exactly as expected. No surprises or issues Replacement shield was delivered quickly and was installed in a few seconds. No instructions but they were probably witht the helmet. I figured it out easily enough. I am constantly telling others about Revzilla. October 1, 2012
Great face shield, does what it's supposed to This face shield works great, fit is perfect, and it installs/uninstalls fast and easy. Went with the smoked color because sunglasses were hurting my fiancee's head when wearing the helmet, this solved the problem. She's happy, I'm happy, great addition to the helmet in place of the clear version. August 6, 2012
HJC HJ-17 Face Shield on a CL-Max II Smoke Tint I have the CL-Max II helmet and since I have to wear my prescription glasses while riding and don't currently have a pair of prescription sunglasses, I needed something to block the sun from my eyes. This face shield fit the bill perfectly. It's definitely a relief for my eyes and looks great at the same time! It's extremely easy to swap on and off in case I need to switch back to the clear for night time riding. It comes branded exactly the same as the OEM face shield so I know that the quality is there. Hi I purchased a HJC CL-Max II Zader Helmet last year and I love it. I am looking at replacing the clear visor with one that will darken automatically when it is really sunny, and lighten at night when it is dark. Can you point me in the right direction to one? Thanks

Answer: 
To the best of our knowledge, the only automatic tinting shield is the SolFX Transitions faceshield for Bell helmets. We recommend retrofitting either the e-Tint AX-10 or MX-8 Electronic Tinting Faceshield Insert into your clear HJC faceshield.
