Jon R: My SyMax 3 helmet came with a pinlock-ready faceshield... purchased the pinlock inner shield and the edges get in the way of vision; still may be an okay tradeoff for cooler weather, but definitely gets in the way. So, I said to myself, "Self, why not get another shield without the pins for warmer weather, so neither the seal nor the pins will interfere with vision?"
Which is why I chose this. Plus, it's good to have a spare.Apr 18, 2015
Ken S: Long trip to Alaska and across Canada planned for late Spring. Sun can be an issue and transitional lenses don't work real well behind a clear face shield - even with the Internal Shield drop-down I have in the MAX II helmet.Feb 12, 2015
Anthony R: Gonna look fresh on my black helmet and also help with the sun.Oct 26, 2014
Joel T:Yes, it's shiny gold and mirror like. Inside the helmet, there is not much reflection, but you can see your nose in it. Not as bad as other mirrored shields I have owned. I love the shield, but it's a "bright sunny day" only shield for sure. It blocks a lot of light.Nov 20, 2014
Douglas P:This shield in dark smoke blocks the sun very well and I'm able to ride directly into the sun with no discomfort. Unfortunately I don't know if it will fit the CL Max 2 - I have a Symax III. It is fairly easy to take on and off once you get the hang of it - the first time was a chore, however.Jun 22, 2014
Vernon S:If your buying the clear version the answer is obviously no. If you get the reflectorized version then yes it does help. As for fitment I can't help you there. R7R is very simple snap on snap off. Hope this helps.Jun 21, 2014
A shopper asked:I have a HJC Cl-Max ii bluetooth will this shield fit. I have a HJC CL-17 and multiple shield and they do not appear as if they will fit? The mounting area on the Cl-Max ii appears skinnyer.May 16, 2014
A shopper asked:Hi I purchased a HJC CL-Max II Zader Helmet last year and I love it. I am looking at replacing the clear visor with one that will darken automatically when it is really sunny, and lighten at night when it is dark. Can you point me in the right direction to one? Thanks
RevZilla:To the best of our knowledge, the only automatic tinting shield is the SolFX Transitions faceshield for Bell helmets. We recommend retrofitting either the e-Tint AX-10 or MX-8 Electronic Tinting Faceshield Insert into your clear HJC faceshield.Mar 28, 2012
