Great product - works as designed
Product was as advertised and shipping was fast. Kudos to Revzilla.
The actual product works as designed. When in place and attached to the chin bar, the air is sealed out efficiently and is great for riding in cooler weather. The downside is that the shield fogs up easier when the curtain is in place. Now I have to get a Pinlock system. :)
Makes almost no difference when it comes to sound inside the helmet though. Maybe my helmet was already tight enough and there is only a slight difference in wind noise.
When the chin bar is up I simply tuck the two ends up and out of the way inside the helmet, which incidentally is how I ride with it not attached. I have to do this because, unlike the experience by FJRnewbie, I can't easily get the thing to come off once installed. I tugged a few times then gave up - its suck in there pretty good.

Would've been nice to know...
This chin curtain functions great when the helmet is in the closed full-face position.
When the chin curtain is installed, it attaches to the chin bar (which moves up and down) and the padding on the main shell of the helmet (which remains stationary) via velcro.
When trying to operate the flip-face feature of the helmet, the velcro disengages from the padding and flops around when putting the face shield up. Closing it and reattaching the velcro when the helmet is on is a pain.
I would've preferred a chin curtain that is a little less 'sealed' that allows full function of the modular hemet rather than one that does the job well in one position.

good wind blocking but hard to attach
Works greats for blocking wind but itsthe clips that attach at the front are hard to get clicked in. They also seem to come off again easily. I may just attach with velcro.

This chin curtain works great
Definitely can can tell the difference without having a chin curtain. Make my helmet a lot quieter.

Chin curtain worked perfectly
I got this chin curtain for my IS-MAX BT and it does a great job of keeping wind out of the bottom of my helmet. It prevents helmet lift and high speeds as well.

Small but works as it should
We got the chin curtains to go with the new helmets and they are easy to install. They work well at blocking the air flow from entering the helmet which also helps on the noise level. If you ride in cold weather you sure will want to install one on you helmet

Jamie T: Garbage Pure garbage. It just falls off the second you touch it. Does not lock into place, snap soon but falls out easily.Dec 22, 2014
William J: I have an old CL-Max helmet that I use for guest riders. Wanted to see if I could quiet the helmet a little.Sep 24, 2014

David O: The IS-max allows a lot of air in under the chin, hopefully this will help.May 3, 2014
Kenneth K: I really like my HJC IS_MAX modular helmet, though it gets a little noisy at freeway speeds and I'm getting this Chin Curtain to help cut down on that wind sound...it messes with me hearing the music I'm playing through my helmet speakers or the riding friends chatting on our Sema 10 headsets. A buddy tells me this was a useful improvement on that front.Mar 19, 2014
A shopper asked:How does this install in the helmet? Are there snaps or does it slide in or what? I recently bought an IS-max bt and I didn't like the openness of the chin area. Thanks for the help.Aug 21, 2013
David C:The curtain has tabs the slide into slots on the front of the helmet, so when you raise the front the chin curtain stays on it. It will hang down when raised. You will need to hold the back of the curtain with your thumb when you are lowering the front so it will go under your chin. Then you will press on the curtain as it has Velcro hook side that attaches to the cloth of the helmet. We only use ours when it is cold it really keeps the air out and reduces the noise. The only thing that I dislike about the curtain is that it hangs down when you have the front up. I hope this helps you.Aug 22, 2013
Shawn C:There is a hard plastic piece along the front edge that slides into the helmet between the fiberglass shell and the front Styrofoam padding and other than being in the way when putting the helmet on it blocks the air and wind noise.Aug 23, 2013
