GMax GM54/S Breath Guard 4 5 1 1
A necessary add on for the gmax helmet I got my g54s helmet, and decided after much reading of the reviews to get the extra breath guard. Turns out it is a pretty good add on for the helmet. Fits well on the snap on pins, and can be bent to fit your nose shape. It covers from air flow generated by the modular helmet chin guard, that would otherwise come up directly to your eyes. Riding in 14 - 25 degrees, with rain, the face shield did not fog up, which means this thing is doing it's job. On sunny days, it does not produce too much heat, which is ok. The only con I see on it, is that when you move the modular chin guard to the up position, it tends to collide with the upper part of the helmet. Obviously, the modular helmet is different than a full face helmet, thus that part on the chin guard would always bee empty. So when moving the chin down to the normal position, you have to readjust with your finger the breath guard, so it falls properly on your nose. This is why I'm down-rating to good and not excellent. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to. Overall good add on, to keep air and debrie from going directly to my eyes. July 28, 2014
