It was a good idea to have come up with this because as in some other jet fighter helmets, you don't always need "sunglasses". It does whistle when flipped up which is the only drawback. When in the down position, I'm able to see my speedometer through the clear visor and look down the road through the tinted one. Simple but I like it like that. Installation is a pain and it had no instructions. I had to call Chris for help; sorry that I accidentally hung up on you, but I figured it out.

I work second shift so I have to ride in bright afternoon sunshine when I go in to work and it is nighttime when I ride home. With this shield I don't have to change between a tinted shield and a clear shield, I just flip up the tinted part.
It was a little difficult to figure out how to install it with no instructions. You also loose the ability to change shields without tools.

Works well but...

The external tint visor works very well for shading the sun. It does provide enough sun shading. The down sides are minimal for most people which includes:
1. No instructions for installation.
2. Makes a slight whistling noise when flipped up all the way.
3. At speeds around 70mph it will either flip up and feel like it is going to tear off or it will slam down.
Having said those things, up to 60 mph or so it is fine. overall not bad.

Pros Fashionable, Great Value

installed VERY easily, took about 2 min to put on. EXCELLENT vision, ZERO distortion.

Pros Fashionable, Comfortable

Cons would like the tinted shield to be about 1/2" longer

not all bad

Looks awesome, I expected it to cut into my field of vision, but it didn't. Works great for daytime rides. Easy to install, just takes some adjusting to get it to ratchet smoothly. Only con is that when flipped up it is quite noisy.

Two for One!

I love this dual shield. I used to have to switch between my smoke shield and my clear shield each day, because it is dark when I ride home from work. Now I just flip the smoke shied up if it is dark and I am still protected.

Pros Great Value, Comfortable

Cons The smoke shield can be tough to open with winter gloves.

Yes the double lens is offered at Revzilla as far as the fogging issue I ride with my shild up one noch
never had it fog up. The double lens is just a sunvisor its a little tricky to install but well worth it on bright sunny days..

Whether Revzilla offers it or not, the double lens version in your picture is a pain. I had it on my helmet and after about a month the detents would no longer hold the tinted visor up. Don' t waste your money.

Answer:

No, but you can crack it open and it clears pretty quick. It will fog if it is closed and you are not moving.
