This is perfect for my 2012 concours
I've searched for the perfect tank bag and this is it. I wanted one that would store a few items and have a top that could handle a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. The strap fits perfectly on the factory hooks for a tank bag and the magnets hold it securely in place. Comes with a weather proof cover which has a see thru section so it does not cover up the map.

Too Heavy and Big
The bag is too big for my FZ1 tank, but it holds on fine. It think it is heavy, no big issue, and may indicate it is heavy duty. I just wanted a smaller tank bag. The zipper is hard to zip around the corners because the over flap is so stiff.

Mediocre bag.
Good materials. Magnets not very strong. Zipper not too good. A lot of money for a not-so-hot tank bag.

very good tank bag, if your tank is made of steel (for the magnetic pucks). It's small enough to not block the steering freedom and view, and can carry enough (extra gloves, books, etc) but you'll need another bag if you want to tour or do over-night stay.

Needed old school options for traveling by map. I've since added a GPS device but I'll never give up my tank bag. I can also store smaller items in the pouch, like a camera, water bottle, travel guides, other maps, etc. I looked for a long time to find this one and I love it! Small profile and does everything I need it to do...Coincidentally, those are the same features I look for in a girlfriend. haha. No really.

What's the click-on strap at the front of the bag for?
A shopper on Aug 4, 2014
I'm looking for a bag just this size. I want to incorporate a SW-MOTECH Gascap Electrical Quick-Lock Ring. Can I easily remove the magnets and attach the ring to the bottom of this bag? (I know that once I do it will not be returnable).
James S on Jun 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I am not sure if I would classify it as easy...but in theory it could be done. The bottom of the bag has 5 round magnets that are stitched into a rubberized vinyl cover. The stitching creates a grid of 12 pockets, 5 of which contain magnets. I would expect that if the stitching is removed to get to the magnets that the bottom would be weakened and have a shortened life.
Are there reinforcements around the sides to hold the shape when empty?
A shopper on Apr 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The top edge (away from the rider) is rigid, the sides and front are not rigid but are a heavy material. My bag does hold it's shape when empty.
