Firstgear Monza Tank Bag / Backpack 4.8 5 5 5
First gear Monza I was looking for a mid sized tank bag and wanted a magnetic type mount. Revzilla had these on close out and it sounded good. It came quick, thanks to revzilla, and came with a kind of a "tote" bag for the bag. Add to that three different types of mounting options, magnet, strap or suction cup. Plus the tank bag will zip off and inside are backpack straps. There is a smaller bag for maps, papers, cell phone, when you zip the larger bag off. Its like getting two bags in one. I ride a 2004 FZ6 and it fits the tank very good. Had the bag on in 30 mph crosswinds and was riding at least 70-80 and there was no bag movement. Overall, I'm glad I got this bag and it has suited me well. Make a wise choice May 6, 2013
very well made tank bag I can't attest to the long term durability yet as I just got the bag, but it is made with excellent materials all around. This tank bag fits perfectly on a BMW airhead, and I can still see all controls and gauges just fine. No interference with any handlebar switches either. May 6, 2013
Excellent Tank Bag Although a bit pricey it is still a very solid product that does what it's supposed to do. I mounted it on my Diavel for a trip to the tail of the Dragon and packed my tool set, extra gloves, rain suit, wallet, GPS and a few other items inside. The main compartment is very rigid and holds shape so you can pack pretty tight without worrying about it changing shape. The side pockets are too rigid to really put anything of any real size in them but I used them to pack all of my wires, batteries and chargers. Everything seems durable and that it will last. The magnets are very strong and did not move at all. The backside of the mounting hardware is also soft and did not scratch the surface of my tank. Pulling the bag off and riding with just the base is quick and easy and allowed me to drop everything at the hotel and just throw my wallet and important papers in the base and ride the Dragon with no fuss. Solid product and I'd recommend it as a good item to fit your needs commuting around town or a 2-3 day drip. February 25, 2013
Excellent for motorcycles of any make and model. Excellent bag, I've used it on several trips and have found it to be everything I was hoping it would be. The ability to quickly unzip from the base and carry it as a backpack is a plus for me as I feel better having it with me at certain locations. I've been asked several times about it from people who don't even have motorcyles. I highly recommend this product. December 24, 2012
Great Practicality Best money spent. Great capacity, holds lunch, books, clothe, etc at the same time. Magnets hold good at any speed and do not scratch paint. Easy removal when putting gas.. I have driven 91 MPH without shifting loads. Rain cover also stay put and do not shift. Great looks and do not fade. Looks great on sport street bikes and are ergonomically great when compared to tail bags unles you are tall enough to swing your leg. Also definitively aestethically superior on sport street bikes. No enough time to apraise durability but I expect optimum results. July 17, 2012

Answer:
A Honda CRF250L has an extremely small mounting location which does not seem large enough for a tankbag of this size. Also, the CRF250L has a plastic tank and side panels which is not conducive to magnetic tankbags. However, even with the auxiliary straps, it does not appear to be the best match.

Answer:
The Firstgear Monza Tank Bag will attach to any gas tank made of steel, however the KLR650 has a steeply raked tank, like most adventure bikes. We have found that strap mounted bags can handle the extreme dimensions of the tank better, especially the Wolfman Explorer Lite which was designed with the KLR650 in mind. The KLR, unlike most sportbikes, does not have a flat top on the tank so there is no support for a standard magnetic tank bag.

Answer:
An iPad will not fit in the top pocket. It may fit in the base unit map pocket, but the touch screen will not respond to a gloved hand through the clear plastic of the map pocket.

Answer:
An Ipad would be a tight fit, I think. If you had the "mini" I pad, I think it might fit. Top pocket is roughly 7 inches across and 8 inches tall. Zipper is about 3 inches from the top. Good luck!!

Answer:
Based off my experience with packing my Garmin in that pocket i would have to say no to the regular sized iPad but the Mini should fit in there with no problems. If you're trying to use it as a GPS i would advise against it since I tried that with my Garmin and the angle of the pocket not only caused you to take your eyes off the road but during the day it received too much glare to be readable. I ended up just getting a handlebar mount for my GPS.
