Dan P: excellent review of this tankbag on the Super Tenere website forum. The dual map pocket is unique and the size appears perfectMay 25, 2014
A shopper asked:I want to use it as a bag for my wallet, phone etc but dont want to leave it on the bike when i am away from my bike. How easy is it to zip on and off every time i need to walk away from my bike. Any other tank bag suggestions for that kind of use?Sep 7, 2012
Michael A. T:I just bought it and the main bag zips away from the base for removal & has a small luggage style hand grip carry handle & a carry strap included. Raincover is attached, lightweight & has clear window and tucks in a designed for purpose small pouch w/zip closure. My complaint is I don't like straps and the suction cups don't hit suitable spots on a G650GS BMW plastic tank.Nov 5, 2013
RevZilla:It is very easy to remove the Firstgear Laguna Mini Tank Bag via two side zippers. We would have to say that this bag is one of your best options. Another popular choice is the Kriega US-10 Drypack coupled with the Kriega US Tank Adaptor.Sep 10, 2012
Michael A. T:I owned this item briefly & returned it without use based on the tiny size. The bag measurements include the side pockets which are fairly large compared to the overall width. While very well built I found not having enough usable space in the skimpy main compartment for my purpose the deciding factor. Ask for an actual measurement from the seller of the area where the I-pad will be placed before purchase! If they sell with a rain cover, bag mfg is giving the answer to rain use question! After buying Wolfman,First gear & Held bags for tryout only , I'm real happy with the Chase-Harper purchase I made. By far the best thought out & most bang for your buck, hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Their 650 or 950 models are great for small, sloped tanks. It also has a great map case(I-pad too!) on top among other simple but useful features. Disclaimer on I-pad-I'm a flip phone guy.Dec 16, 2013
Michael A. T:I bought, tried & returned, two tank bags for my slope tank bike, a 2012 BMW G650GS, including this bag. It was better constructed than the Wolfman bag I tried first, which was returned based on not having a defined shape beyond stuffing it with contents, in other words soft & shapeless unless somewhat full-but a decent product otherwise. The First gear has exceptional quality but very little capacity as much of the overall width is assigned to the side pockets. I like side pockets for glasses but also need to haul a bit inside too, thus it was returned. FWIW, I settled on a Chase-Harper bag that is designed for a slope tanked bike, has a defined shape it holds well & for a smaller bag has great special features and lots of room. Great map holder which can hold a phone or other gear you view. I prefer magnetic bags but not an option for me on this MC. If small capacity isn't an issue then this Firstgear bag is a very good value, otherwise it's too small for my type of longer trip riding. If your always a day tripper this might be OK.Jul 2, 2014
