Fieldsheer Sonic Air II Gloves

Uncomfortable.

I purchased these gloves and while they do appear to let a good amount of air through, I wasn't able to keep them on my hands long enough to actually test them out.

The two culprits of this discomfort are the short thumb length, and the fact that Fieldsheer has elected to use some sort of very scratchy interior material on these gloves.

The short thumb length makes it feel like you do not have a lot of mobility in your thumb. The junction between the thumb and hand seems extra-high and leaves a lot of empty space where the "webbing" of your thumb is. This cuts back on how much you can stretch your thumb out.

The other issue is the interior material. It's a very scratchy plastic-weave-feeling stuff, and any time you move your hand with the glove on, you can feel the material scraping on your flesh. Some people might not mind this but after an hour of feeling the rubbing, I am willing to bet I would be ready to throw the gloves under my tires and ride off without looking back.

One final thing. I ordered this pair of gloves and another pair of Fieldsheer gloves. It seems that even between product lines from the same company, Fieldsheer doesn't completely adhere to a standard size. The other gloves fit fine while these were tight on my hands.

Good Summer Gloves

Benn riding with the gloves for a little while, and overall they do what they are supposed to do. They fit snug and close up tight - maybe a little too tight. Seems as if some of the padding pushes against the wrist and can be uncomfortable at times. They vent well when it is warm, but can be a bit uncomfortable when cooler, six of one, half of the other. That's why motorcyclist have so many gloves. Buy with confidence, it is a good product.
